Studies show that the ritualistic 'hazing' that new forum members go through is really a social phenomenon that goes back millenia. Originally, aboriginie's used to use bamboo sticks and whale blubber to beat visitors as part of the process to join their tribe. Typically these ritualistic beatings would happen near sunset, when a haze would form due to the heat of the Australian outback. Hence the origination of the term 'hazing'

In the dark ages, traveling Scotsmen would try and join the various tribes. They would go through a competition to show strength (you see these in highland festivals nowadays).

All these are precursors to the new fad of iniation on the forums here at elcova. They are simply initiation rites of passage new members must go through. This is especially true of (wannabe) dominate males who come into the forums spouting rhetoric and stupidity. They deserve a smackdown unless they show appropriate submission to the clan chiefs.

(note: my role in this Steve Irwin adventure? Drunken stupidity - I'm the comic relief:D )

I knew it. Too bad my worst/best mileage of 14/18 (and average 15 mpg) doesn't reflect the benefit of bling.

I think any 4X4 will suck gas no matter what you do to it as you have alot more weight and drag through the drive train.

What the registration should include is a series of statements, images and questions meant to break you down mentally and desensitize you. If you can make it through, you can join but have to wait 15 minutes to post to give you time to stop hysterically crying. ;)
