Thanks guys.

Next is the blacking out the bling phase.

Ken took the grill to some shop yesterday and they wouldn't Line-X it. Saying there was a risk as far as melting it. So we have to find someone that will. Either that or I will have to go down there with my Kung-Fu Style.

Looks GREAT youze guys! Can't wait to see in the dirt!!

GTF OUT A HERE!!!
That is sick!!
I luv it!!
How does it ride?

shipbldr 11-24-2005 01:34 PM

It just keeps getting better!!

CslRkH2 11-24-2005 01:36 PM

That looks incredible.

KenP 11-24-2005 01:46 PM

Thanks Gang. We love it, but need some removeable steps or I'm going to kill my back picking CP up all the time.

As for the ride, it's actually... Different. Against PhilD's advice I had them install the Fabtech idler and pitman arms with the lift instead of waiting a few hundred miles. DAMN! The thing was hard as hell to drive. I couldn't talk on the phone, light a smoke and drink a Pepsi at the sametime. The truck was all over the place.

Now that we're putting a few miles on it and getting used to the ride it's actually pretty nice. The truck does wonder around on wavy roads, but you get used to it.

The turning radius, I swear, it better than the old truck. Don't ask me why, but I haven't found a parking spot I couldn't get in or out of. With the old truck I sometimes had to reverse it to get in the spot. I know, weird.

Fubar 11-24-2005 02:41 PM

Ken, thanks for the advice. I guess it's back on the phone with Magnacharger then because I've exhausted every other train of thought. My dealership's answer is to hold on to the truck so long that I get pissed and come take it back without them having to do anything

Thanks for posting more pictures of your truck it looks AMAZING. Sorry to hear you are experiencing drifting issues with the new lift. I think I'll be going with a Rancho 4 inch lift partially because I've not heard of anyone having similar tracking issues.

Fubar, our intercooler pump wires were pulled by mistake when we removed the electric fans and we never had an overheating issue. This was over the summer for a couple of months. I think you're heading down the wrong road with that one.

If the pump is not working you should run low in the resevoir. The fluid will just boil away. Mine went empty and that's how we realized the pump wasn't working. There was NEVER an overheating issue.

The DRTY bumper is on and so are the flares. Hopefully one of us will start a thread for those because the DRTY bumper deserves one all by itself. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

The drift gets less noticable each day.

Good luck on your heating issue.

CO Hummer 11-24-2005 03:21 PM

WOW!!!!!!

Ken/CP - That looks awesome! Those fender flares make all the difference. Man, I love how that thing looks.

You guys are REALLY tempting me to un-stock my truck!

X2

Those flares really balanced out the extra width of the wheels & tires. Looks great now. No.... wait... it's the bumper that completes it.

I thought Cp was a spinner

H2Finally 11-24-2005 06:28 PM

x4!!!! WOW!!! You gonna put on the over-the-hood grill guard next?

MSeeb 11-24-2005 07:03 PM

Is it an optical illusion, or does the front tires stick out from the body about 2" further that the rear tires? Might just be the angle of the pic.

dochummer 11-24-2005 07:12 PM

Beautiful truck! Can't wait to see it in moab! Do they make a slantback tire carrier for the SUT? I know I've seen them on the H1's....

Ken, have you considered duplicolor spray-on bedliner? I used it on my steps and it seems to get the job done...I'm sure someone's used it on the grill...

Good point, Horace. That big grill gaurd only looks good on the lifted rigs IMO. I think you should do it Ken.

h2co-pilot 11-25-2005 01:46 AM

Thanks guys! It's so cool that you are almost as excited as we are.

Re: OTH brush guard

At first I said "no way, I doon like it." But then I checked out pictures of PhilD's again and, like Co Hummer said, for some reason I like it a lot better on a lifted rig. So I think it will come out alright.

(I finally got in it this afternoon. I could have made it myself but Kenny started helping before I even lifted a foot off the ground. I will do a search for steps etc. before I ask any "rewy smawt" questions about what to get.)

KenP 11-25-2005 04:00 AM

Brush Guard is on the way. It's about 2 weeks out.

bob hamilton 11-25-2005 02:05 PM

forgive me for being an idiot but how muh does the fabtech lift kit change your approach, breakover, departure and side slope angles?
