I admitted I was splitting hairs when I said it. All she had to do was correct herself.

Just like the guy at 4 WHEEL PARTS, who swore up and down...argued with me that my H3 had air ride suspension, that it was spring over, and that it was built on a trail blazer platform.

Rancho lists the H3 as an AWD vehicle. The same guy at 4 wheel parts, sold me my shocks after I told him my Torsion bars were turned in order to accommodate my 35" tires.

He sold me the shocks, but said nothing to me about "custom applications" not being warrantied. No biggie, I didn't throw a fit, I just replaced the shock 4 times at $90 bucks a pop.

Will I buy Rancho again....no way. Will I shop at 4 Wheel Parts....not a chance.

So the moral of the story is....Be suspicious of people who tell you the H3 is AWD.

Re: Great results from PCM for Less tuning . . .

I have had my PCM tuned by Alvin/Kelly...It is fantastic as to the difference it made from the factory tune...Everything about the drive and spunk of the H3 is improved...I test drove an 07 H3 the other day..you know, the one with the 3.7 L ...Well I can tell you with all honesty that my 06, 3.5L runs better, has more pep and the tranny shifts are spot on...truely a world of difference...Thanks Kelly/Alvin, you guy are delivering a quality product for sure....One question..how do I get it out of 2WD?..I want 4WD and I was told that it maybe AWD or maybe it was the other way around..hell they all look the same to me...does that include the steering Wheel too?..cuz then it would be a 5WD not including the spare.

But it's funny to read the comments from a few of these above jokers,
...as you sit back in your monday morning arm chair and make uneduacated, ignorant comments as to what this PCMforless tune can't or can do..How stupid you all look...Either get the TUNE and prove Kelly or Alvin wrong or just STFU until you know something about what you're talking about.

And Hummbebe...tapper off on the testosterone treatments will ya! the hair on your chin is starting to get thicker.:giggling:

As I stated before prior to ordering, I spent 3 - 4 hours reading the post/threads on Elcova, hummerforums.com and other GM truck forums.

Based on the opinions of other H3 owners who had this done, all of who were satisfied and on other GM owners opinions, again all who were satisfied, I went with PCM for Less.

There are other companies out there that do tunes, it's like who likes
Chevrolet, Ford or Toyota. Go with who you like :beerchug:

I actually did my own adjustments, with help from an engine programmer, with a LS1 edit while doing dynos, but those can be very dangerous to the engine.

As you will notice, I say programs not chips. 1COOLH3 is corrrect, they are not replaceable chips, they are programs (calibrations) you download. I also agree with his statement, there is not much you can do with this engine. Not like a big V8.

ok, so here's how we settle this. I'll graciously offer up my H3 for testing (adventure model, 30k miles, stock tires). With contributions from the members of this forum, I'll go get a G-tech (it's about $200) and a PCM from PCMforless. We'll just go run some 1/8 mile times, HP, torque, etc, swap out the PCM and run again.

Sure, it won't be a dyno, but it's somewhere between SOTP and very expen$ive dyno. Now I just need some donations people, just pm me and I'll give you the address for the checks :D

I have a G-tech, will dig it out and happily lend it to you for that purpose if you want. Again, I am happy with my tune from PCMforless. :beerchug:
