He told me he might have trouble getting the Rod Hall shocks in. Does anyone here know which Rancho shocks I should get if I go that way instead? I'll just use the cash I was going to spend on the ineffectual exhaust "upgrade" on those instead.

I can't tell if the second one is just a component that goes on the first one. (Yes, I am a Rancho shock dummy, but I'm trying).

Also look at their steering stabilizer kit.

You want the first one you listed unless you want a remote reservoir shock. Those parts are complete as shown in the pics.

Think your girl needs some new shocks for those. Not sure but if I remember correctly extra bounce after hitting a bump is a sign that the shocks are going bad.

Not bad. I dont think there's another product I would use instead. I know I don't want the Delco OEM ones.

Having a remote res system seems like overkill to me. I only see it on show vehicles that never leave the trade show floor let alone go off road.

I would also recommend against the remote system that Rancho has. It gets leaks.
