Some here expressed a preference for the Rod Hall or Rancho shocks over the stock ones. My dealer is installing the winch and XM on Tuesday. He told me he might have trouble getting the Rod Hall shocks in. Does anyone here know which Rancho shocks I should get if I go that way instead? I'll just use the cash I was going to spend on the ineffectual exhaust "upgrade" on those instead.

Running 9000x at all 4 corners.
Judging by the videos of you punishing most of the large rocks west of the Mississippi, they must being doing well for you?
I liked the Ranchos also.
Thanks.
I'm getting closer, but which 9000x: http://www.gorancho.com/products/shocks/RS9000X.stm http://www.gorancho.com/products/sho...ereservoir.stm http://www.gorancho.com/products/sho...s_coilover.stm I can't tell if the second one is just a component that goes on the first one. (Yes, I am a Rancho shock dummy, but I'm trying). |
Also look at their steering stabilizer kit.
You want the first one you listed unless you want a remote reservoir shock. Those parts are complete as shown in the pics.
May the pad be with you.

I dont think there's another product I would use instead. I know I don't want the Delco OEM ones. Having a remote res system seems like overkill to me. I only see it on show vehicles that never leave the trade show floor let alone go off road. I would also recommend against the remote system that Rancho has. It gets leaks. |
