FYI: These guys (http://www.bbhaulers.com/) just quoted me online a rate of $750 to ship my H2 from Fairfax to Denver. Next time, I might do that one way going out; fly in; pick it up; drive to Moab; and then maybe just make the drive all the way back. It would cut down on the amount of time and miles the trip would consume.

If you did something like that, I would do the opposite.

Drive out and then ship it back. Mainly because the drive back is a whole lot longer than the drive out.

Definitely worth it, I think.

Any where you want, I think. I would have them ship it to my uncle's house in Littleton or my rental house in Thornton. I guess one could have them ship it to/from Moab as well, but I assume that would cost more. I would also consider having it delivered to anywhere you can fly direct to near Moab. I assume Aspen would be the closest choice, but I don't knwo.

Moab does have a regional airport FWIW. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>that and I would imagine everything would be cheaper if you were to do it at/through Denver. It's then a short 5 or so hour hop to Moab.

We shipped bikes to the Denver airport and flew in and they ended up dropping them off at our hotel right by the airport.

If you could be without your truck for a few weeks, you could find a logistics company that could try to get you piggybacked onto another load.

Another company that quoted a higher rate said that you get $50 off per vehicle for every additional vehicle. Thus, doing it as a group might be cheaper.

I still think the Shaggy method is cheaper.

I might be interested in this for next year. I had gotten quotes for Salt Lake City. It was something like $1200 each way. I don't think so.

Several vehicles originating from one place and ending at the same place might be able to save some big $$$. This could work out.
