how do you like my ride??

H2BIG 01-11-2004 05:45 PM

If you're into chrome, it looks best on black. I have the lux pewter with chrome hood handles - thats as far as I'm willing to go. Where are your chrome door handles?

It looks to me like you want to get rid of those black door handles and the black mirrors! I just happen to know somebody who would be willing to give you the wonderful set of chrome stuff that comes with the lux package for your black stuff!

I also have some chrome side vents and air cleaner covers that you need. Gotta finish that look off and I am here to help!

yeh the dealership had the chrome package , but no sunroof , but now i need that black stuff in chrome...what kind of prices do you have?

Jerr 01-12-2004 12:33 AM

or just exchanging black for chrome for no charge?

frank6150 01-12-2004 12:37 AM

I would gladly just exchance my chrome stuff for your black. As far as the side vents and air cleaner goes I will get rid of them dirt cheap as they do me no good and were used for about a month. Everything is in excellent condition.

Where are you from btw? If it is within driving distance it would make things much easier.

im in macon,georgia...aha..bit difficult from PA

frank6150 01-12-2004 12:55 AM

Well it can be done, will just require a little planning on our part since we will probably have to overnight the parts to each other and leave the vehicles without door handles and mirror things for a day. I will do it so it is up to you. If you are interested respond here and I will PM you my phone number and we can talk about it tonight or tomorrow.

Sent you a PM with my number.

do you know if they make just those chrome caps to go around the black mirrors?>?

frank6150 01-12-2004 01:16 AM

That is the part you would be removing, the cap. Should just pop off with a screwdriver and some love.

The door handles however are another story. You have to take the door panel off and then the window too I believe. Someone around here made a fancy tool to do it without removing the window but I would just take mine off.

cubby whats ur email address??

DRTYFN 01-12-2004 11:26 PM

JamesTKirk,
What kind of lift is that? I looks like it'd get hung up on rocks offroading.

JamesT 01-13-2004 12:27 AM

Its a FABTEH. To be honest, I do little off roading so I can not give you an intelligent answer. I have been told by others that I have an inch and a half more clearance than that of a stock H2.

DRTYFN 01-13-2004 02:19 AM

Oh. Well it's not so much the clearance that I was wondering about, but the durability of the exposed components. If you don't off-road you'll be fine.
BTW, you're rig does look cool. I'm very much anti-chrome, but the white and chrome is kind of growing on me.

Cubby,
You're either a girl or a crow.
BTW, I'm not a chrome fan, but your rig is pretty cool. And I love that you wheel it.

S&B Member since '03

JamesT 01-13-2004 03:18 PM

Just curious. Why stock wheels?
