I can't believe the biased bull****.
Link ""The H2 is marketed as both a general purpose vehicle and as an off-road vehicle. However, H2 is not capable of geniune off-road travel due to its heavy weight, four wheel independent suspension, and a truck based body frame, although these provide very good riding quality. It is very common for H2 to snap a driving axle or get stuck on even some very low obstacles during off-road. Most likely, 95% of H2 buyers never really intended to go "off-road", and it is not recommended for them to do so. A vivid example of the disadvantages of H2's independent suspension and heavy weight leading to a snapped front driving axle can be find here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...52499&q=hummer""" As I understand it, there is a way to edit this information...Paragon, Help. If anybody can do it, it would be you. |

Guys - getting into an edit war will only make it worse. This entry gets monitored enough as it is. Don't add to the fire.

They started it with a very non-objective viewpoint (in other words, they lied their ass off). What are we to do, Lay down and die? |
I sure would like to see a Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon follow the Hummer H2 on some hard core trails for a day.
|
I just added this:
Debunking the Tahoe Frame Myth: The final frame assembly is made up of 3 sections. The front uses a modified GM 2500-Series utility frame. The mid-section is all new and is completely boxed. The rear section uses a modifed GM 1500-Series frame which is upgraded for 8000 pound gross vehicle weight. |
You guys crack me up.

Capabilities
With its high ground clearance, large tires, protective underbody plates, and low gearing, the H2 is capable of climbing over a 20-inch-high (0.4 m) step-up wall (without the sill steps shown in the pictured example). A massive truck frame and wide track appear to offer stability against overturning compared to some of the more common light truck SUVs, although objective tests have not been performed by the government or other outside parties due to its specialized vehicle class. Make sure to have the front end aligned when having Drty tie rods. |

LMAO, I just saw this.

Nice! Love the allignment comment! I cant wait until we have greater numbers (future h3 owners) to watch out for the damn trolls and flame them instanlty, then go out to the trails and have tons of hummer pulling-out/owning jeep videos!!
|
I continually watch the Hummer entries on Wiki. It'll be safe.

Very nice work. I applaud this whole thread it has put a smile on my face.

Who keeps taking out all the good stuff we put in?

Gee. Check the history. You'll see a name that's a bit familiar.
Wikipedia isn't a place for extreme Point of View writings. All of the Hummer listings are monitored constantly for neutrality due to it's controversial nature. And I'm one of the ones who monitor it. It has to stay neutral as possible, otherwise Wikipedia won't last. |
