Ok, I know Bling Bling. Sidewall is almost 6" and diameter is almost 36". Just got it out from custom and hope to have it install soon.

H2_SUT_SC 10-25-2005 06:45 PM

That's a clean look. It's going to look great once you have them all installed.

That's going to look real clean. What is the exact size of those tires?

VTSTOMPER 10-25-2005 07:49 PM

put them on! I want to see what they look like when they are on. HUGE!

Are you going to do a brake upgrade too?

I will try to get it on this weekend and take picture to post. I will do the HID lights first and then the brakes, next is supercharger. Since Government check is not all that great, it will take me some time to do the project.

MovinH2 10-27-2005 01:01 AM

Now that is bling bling. I like it.

Sorry for the delay. I thought I had posted on this thread already. Yes the H2 pictured is mine. I know... bling bling but I need a change from the military camo version.

I know it's a bit bright but I need something to match my Vette. The tires ride very quite and great in snow and water.

Ziniki rims, available in black and chrome.

HummBob 12-03-2005 06:58 AM

Sportsdude, did you install different brakes?
I heard if you go 24", you need larger brakes?
I'm looking at 24" Dub Condo's, and am curious about the brake thing before investing $6000. I might just get the 22's if it's too much hastle.

Sportsdude 12-03-2005 03:06 PM

Humm This, The tires were about $600 each. The whole set (rims and tires) was about $6500.00

HummBob, I haven't upgraded the system yet. I'm planning to go with Brembo GranTurismo 6 piston for front and 4 piston for rear in a few months.

VTSTOMPER 12-03-2005 06:32 PM

6500 for tires?

holy cock and balls batman!

HummBob 12-03-2005 06:49 PM

Sportdude, Please bear with me as I don't know much, but do you have to replace the whole braking system, or just the rotors or calipers.
Also, if I put my OEM rims on for the winter, do I have to change the brakes back?

redline201 12-03-2005 10:04 PM

how bad is the ride
is it rougher?
what about braking?
is it livable or does it really need the upgrade?

im trying to decide on rim size 20 22 or 24s
love the look of 24s though

Sportsdude 12-04-2005 09:26 AM

HummBob- No replacing of braking system is required. Going to a bigger size rims/tires probably decreased the stopping power but I haven't had the chance to do any type of measurement.

Redline201- Compared to OEM tire setup, the Perelli ATR ride is smooth and less road noise. I recently had the opportunity to test it out in the snow/water and it handles really well. My stock rims/tire will be use for off-roading. To be honest, I can't tell much of a difference with braking from the OEM tire/rim setup and the 24" (both requires driver's good judgement and denfensive driving). I'm upgrading the braking system to prevent brake fading and because I'm planning to supercharge my H2, in addition driving condition here is at a faster pace than in CONUS.

redline201 12-17-2005 01:58 AM

Gotcha. You found those 24's on ebay. I was lost looking for a picture of these 24's.

Hey sportsdude, why get A/t's? That thing needs regular old street tires. It'll never see more than a gravel road.

Sportsdude 12-17-2005 02:19 PM

Redline201-sorry no additional pics yet. As soon as I get time after deployment preparations, I'll take some. It's probably will be too long of a wait though.

KenP-Shipping cost was quite a bit and you are probably right with just gravel at present. It might end up in a driveway for a year until I get back. Happy Holidays!

God's Speed Sportsdude!!!!!
And....MERRY CHRISTMAS!

rocketw19 12-19-2005 09:09 PM

you wont need bigger brakes if you put bigger rims. if you put bigger overall size then your brakin will be effected. i think anything but the 06 has small rotors and i would change them no matter what. i have a 06 sut and they work like a champ.

atit2d 03-24-2006 01:54 AM

WOw, those look great. Any rubbing issues? Any modifications to the suspension needed?

No modification required and no rubbing. A Big Brake package would be nice if ou have the funds to do it.
