Hi all, glad to be part of the group here. Have had the H2 for 4 days now and am LOVING IT! Going to try to figure out how to post a few pics of it. 2006 Lux series, uplevel chrome, dvd's in the head rests....

ratesguy 05-02-2006 10:09 PM

Welcome to the forum. I love that color!

mikejr 05-02-2006 10:11 PM

Thank you so much for the welcome. Of all the vehicles I have owned, this H2 gets by far the most looks and head turns. Love the rumble that big 6.0 has.

dochummer 05-02-2006 10:43 PM

Welcome! Use photobucket or putfile.com to host the file and then link it to your post...

Glad you are here, but you might want to take back the statement "Glad to be part of the group here." Give it a few weeks and then you can see if you are truely glad or if you run like mad far far away. We are a very disfunctional functional group. Glad you are here.

mikejr 05-02-2006 11:13 PM

HA HA...ok...i will retract my "glad to be part of the group" statement until I see just how dysfunctional the group really is....ha ha. Hey most of the world thinks us H2 owners are dysfunctional by virtue of what we drive...right?

Motohead 05-03-2006 12:11 AM

sweet!

Thats the color i originally wanted. Had to settle with Pewter.

I used to race up just north of Pittsburg, at a track in Delmont PA.

Racer-X 05-03-2006 12:12 AM

Welcome and nice color. My buddy just bought an 05 in that color and it's really growing on me. Second best to white I think.

DDWH 05-03-2006 12:41 AM

Congrats and Welcome to the asylum!

Every tim eI see your posts and see you sig line, I LMFAO! It's sssssooooo true!

mikejr 05-03-2006 09:09 AM

Delmont is just over the hill from us, sold a house over that way adjacent to the track. Are any of you from western pa?

I really liked the Slate Blue, don't see many of them on the road around here. We have a green, white, black and pewter in town, so I had to be different! Had a run of black vehicles and was tired trying to keep them clean!

Have any of you been to the Hummer test track in Nemacolin?

Andy C 05-03-2006 12:43 PM

Hmmmmmm, from PA - had a run of black vehicles - must be Amish

HummerNewbie 05-03-2006 12:49 PM

Welcome and great color choice. Since you are in PA you should check out the Paragon run later this month.

mikejr 05-03-2006 09:46 PM

Well first time I've ever been called amish...ha ha...most thing we are a crime family for driving black cars all the time...

So where is this Paragon run and what exactly is it?

Boss Hoss 05-03-2006 10:03 PM

Nice rig---congrats and welcome to the forum.

mikejr 05-03-2006 10:14 PM

Thank you...just filled it up with the first tank after getting it last friday...some joker at the station asked what size tank it had, then said wow you just bought it...then proceeded to ask why I wasnt concerned about the fuel prices...my response...doesnt get any worse mileage than the vehicle I had before ('04 Avalanche)

My response to this recurring gas-pump inquiry is starting to solidify as basically:
"$h!t, I commute all day, but I've got so many productive oil wells and shares of Halliburton that I can afford $40 a gallon gas. I just hope the higher fuel costs drive a lot of the peasant Prius-driving @$$h0les off the road. If God hadn't wanted Hummer drivers to own Hummers, he wouldn't have made us so damn rich."

Mind you, I'm barely solvent, but it sounds good.

Re: My 2006 Slate Blue H2

Its funny just how many people look at the H2 when we are driving down the road. The funniest are the kids in the cars beside us. They always look at it like its the first one they have ever seen. Have had it about two weeks now and I can honestly say this is the nicest vehicle we've owned.
