My wife just had her Toyota Sienna serviced yesterday and they asked her if the cabin air filter had been changed. This was news to me, I never heard of such a thing. The mechanic showed us where it was. It was behind the glove box. He pulled out the entire box and exposed a slot where the filter sits. It cleans all the air that gets circulated in the vehicle. Also through the air conditionar and heater. The filter was pretty mucky and also had some leaves and other debris stuck to it. To get to the point, Does our Hummers have a cabin air filter?

GM Part#88986533 $40.80 plus shipping
www.alldiscountparts.com It is a hepa-filter too, takes out pollen spores and whatnot. |
So the H2 does have a seperate cabin filter?
Where is it located? |
I thought only 2003's had it?
|
only early '03s. mines #657 or something close, and doesn't have one.
|
Yep, only the early 03's had it. Unless they've put them back in for 06. Just look beneath the passenger side dash, below the glove box. If there are screws and cover there, then it'll fit one, if it's sealed with no screws, then it won't. Wish mine had one, then I wouldn't have to worry about the stinkin dust storms we get around here...
|
The filter's are easy to replace by yourself in the toyotas, and can be had for pretty cheap. Just search online...
|
I am going to go look and see

My '06 has the screws, but no mention of filter replacement in the manual like my Chevy truck had.
Are the screws located on the bottom of the cover, because I do see some there... |
|
You're right, I only looked at the 2003 H2.

Re: Cabin Air Filter?
How do you tell which '03's are early year models or late year models? I need to check to see if mine has the cabin air filter.

OK, I took the cover off but there's nothing there. Is there more that I have to take off to get to the filters? |
