This is how you adapt to the fact that there are so few full size parking spots within 200 yards of the building's entrance.

Hehe, that's the way to do it!

That's even more fun in the winter when you get to park on top of 3' snowbanks.

Every time I see your truck, I can't help but think how badass it looks.

DRTYFN 06-26-2003 07:29 PM

Another great thing about the H2 is that you can go across a parking lot to where you'd think an exit(ie. two adjoining lots) would be and if there isn't one you can make one.

ya i love those black rims! nice

Joe 06-29-2003 10:13 PM

Love the rims. Are they powder coated? How much did that run, if I can be so bold as ask? Thinking about doing that myself and adding 37 MTR's

DRTYFN 06-30-2003 08:54 PM

Got the rims done for free(a friend's company has a powdercoating line). The rims have held up surprisingly well after grinding through gravel and sand. The combo of black rims and 37" MTRs really set you apart from the rest of the H2s.

now all you need is the TOW missle launcher option and you have the ultimate urban assault vehicle.

havent done that but ive seen spots with like dirt mounds on em for construction and instead of parking 100 yards away i park in that first spot half way up the dirt mound. its funny coming out with people taking pictures of it.

Actually, I have found that if you BACK in, the H2 doesn't stick out any further than anything else.

I have to do that all the time... Seems like parking spaces are getting smaller around here.

Why, is it longer if you pull it in than backing it in?

Who woulda thunk?

while it's not longer....it does make a difference on how far you stick out if you back into a space against a Curb. If you run your rear tires up to the curb there is more of your truck hanging over the grass than if you pull in. Obviously this does not apply if there is another parking spot behind you when you back in. ;)

You know, I was being funny but I never thought about that because I've got that dang 14" drop hitch and it tends to limit me sometimes.

;) :D I believe that's why they started calling those extreme drop hitches STINGERS... They ought to make a Smilie Ball cover like this :fdance: for those....:D

Re: How to park in a compact spot.

I got a ticket for doing something similar! I parked my H2 in the street in front of my house, so I parked half of my H2 on my sidewalk in front of my house. So that way people would have more room in the street to drive by without hitting my truck. Oh yeah and I paid for the sidewalk to be run in front of my house to boot. I should be able to park on the f*cking thing if I want to!
