Hum2 05-16-2003 11:09 AM

Steve and Alec are both 4" and Dan is 5", our founder HM is 3".

H2 Guy the Mother of SUV, you can find the data at www.Hummer.com.

Zing 05-16-2003 02:43 PM

If Hummer.com says anything other than our Founder HM's data, someone will clearly need to advise Hummer.com to correct their site.

Wow, are we really going to have the "my 'hummer' is bigger than your 'hummer'" argument?

Just be sure to let me know who the winner is.

Hi all, New to the Hummer forums. I started over on Colorado4x4.org trying to drum up partners 4 wheeling for my trip in late Aug/early Sept. What I actually found was not all that pleasant. Although one guy "Bill" told me to try over here and look for "Alec W." and "Adam in Colorado". I could have private emailed but I thought since you all were mentioning H1s and not in a bad way, I'd just post. I am getting some results on the H1 side but since I got a word-of-mouth referral, I thought I'd follow it up. Yes, the H1 is a tad over 86" wide.

Andy C 07-28-2005 12:25 AM

Thanks Khaidog - that has been bothering me for the last two years.

Why are you bringing up all these old threads?

And yes, the width of the H1 is 86.5" without the mirrors.

KhaiDog 07-28-2005 01:23 AM

Sorry, just did a search in "Alec W." and "Adam in CO", now you know why I have an H1 and not an H2...

NoMoGMPG 07-28-2005 02:45 AM

I have an H1 and they haven't roasted me like the pig that I am...yet

KenP 07-28-2005 02:58 AM

Would love to wheel with you, Khai. Maybe in the near future we will.

The best way to contact those pancake eating mongrels is to send a PM. <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Originally posted by GMPartsGuy:

KhaiDog 07-29-2005 01:22 AM

He got the joke. Unfortunately I didn't. What's a PM. Seems like I should know that.

I firmed up my plans for visiting in CO. I will be out from the 16th of Aug. til the 10th of Sept. Just me, the two dogs and the H1. When I'm not accompanied, I will be checking out easier trails but look forward to more challenging ones when accompanied. I've got a long list of possibilities in the counties: Gunnison, Chaffee, Lake, Park, Eagle, Summit and Clear Creek.

H2_Guy,

Why do you ask? Are you thinking about getting one? I contemplate that idea every time I see a H1. I even dragged the wife to test drive one with me but she hated the interior and the lack of On-Star and air bags killed the deal. Also, both of us question whether it will be practical around town. It's her vehcile so she needs to be comfortable parking it. Wish I had the money to have both...

KhaiDog 07-29-2005 12:04 PM

Hello kacyk,
This was an old thread that I ressurected by mistake and was dully chastized for it, if you read back. You mentioned a few words though in your post that I am not familiar with and weren't in the dictionary. "On-Star" and "air-bags". Another word was in the dictionary, "practical" but I didn't understand the context

ckhagman 07-29-2005 12:08 PM

Airbags- don't need them
On-Star doesn't work in the woods
Parking is soooo much easier than anything I currently drive.
