Now, I KNOW no one could possibly disagree as PEWTER POWER RULES!!

But for all the doubters out there, here's a little poll for owners (& to-be) to vote their H2 colors.

Polls only allow 5 choices, so I took some liberties...

I don't even think pewter is a real color. It's for those that can't make a choice.

Rainbow is just plain old gay.

Induction Concepts 06-21-2005 03:10 AM

Black is the ONLY color! Well, actually its the absolute lack of color, but its my favorite anyway.

DRTYFN 06-21-2005 03:24 AM

Actually, black is the complete and total LACK of color. How many times do you guys need to be told?

NJ H2 06-21-2005 03:53 AM

Black is the absence of color and white is the blending of all color when dealing with light. The opposite is true when dealing with paint.
So if you have Black you have a bucket of mixed up paints and if you have White you have a bucket of nothing!
Now, about Pewter:
Pewter is the Best!!

tower 06-21-2005 04:09 AM

Pewter may be best, but only after black. Pewter would be a little bit better than it is if it didn't start with PEW . Also, it sounds too much like putrid .

dochummer 06-21-2005 05:01 AM

Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! Black is the BEST!!! I do like the burgundy also....

Pewterd..

DRTYF? (the imposter) 06-21-2005 05:02 AM

I almost bought pewter then I wised up just in time.. Whew..

RAM H2 RYDER 06-21-2005 05:19 AM

I gotta got with Black. That's the color I chose.

CBR_Raven 06-21-2005 05:40 AM

Mine is pewter and I like it but I actually wanted the white. I've learned my lesson with black vehicles...too much work to keep it looking good. Although black looks the best of all in my opinion.

saleen779 06-21-2005 12:11 PM

orange is the BEST, even though i voted for black. cuz im not voting for anything with the word rainbow in it.

HeimenHummer 06-21-2005 12:12 PM

I wanted black at first but went with pewter.

Black looks good clean and polished. But looks terrible dirty and scratched.

Pewter looks beautiful dirty or clean hands down.

ShaggyX 06-21-2005 12:15 PM

RAINBOW all the way baby!

That is all that needs to be said.

JMVH2 06-21-2005 12:23 PM

Sage Green is the best

Bill Kervaski 06-21-2005 12:31 PM

I've found that the H2 paint job in generally is outstanding. I've beat my black h2 to death and after a professional buff job and a little touch up, it's hard to tell it's ever been offroad.

dochummer 06-21-2005 01:17 PM

Drty, did you get a pic of that nice pink one at the Washington Hummer Happening? Definately a flame job

And I'm sure pewter doesn't show the scratches from all the errantly misplaced shoes on the door sills like the black does.

IPStack 06-21-2005 01:23 PM

Pewter is THE color. I mean Black, comeon. Not only is it the absence of color, it shows the absence of any thought process as well.

TheSkeptiks 06-21-2005 01:39 PM

No one has mentioned the Maroon color. I love that color. I am also a USC Trojan so maroon is a great color to me.
Black is my first choice. I just like blacked out cars/SUV's. Tinted windows are a must for me.

Let's see any group of 3 other colored H2s doing something like this.
(I'm expecting 3 black H2s posed on a parking garage ramp.)

DRTYFN 06-21-2005 01:58 PM

It just seems that the drivers of the pewter rigs have conquered more than the pretty colored(and lack of color) rigs. Don't hate.

ShaggyX 06-21-2005 02:00 PM

So 3 H2's in our group did Lions Back and they were all Pewter. Only 1 member of the group has done Golden Spike before, and he drives a Maroon s10. What does that say about Maroon s10 drivers? They can do tougher obsticles...with less vehicle.

LoLo 06-21-2005 02:21 PM

Pewter was the only choice for me... especially since I don't care to hand wash my truck (too tall with the light bar for any automatic washes!) very often!

I'm waiting on that photo of the blacks lined up in the parking garage! (filled with Neiman Marcus bags, no doubt! )

Just a thought: anyone notice how the "desert sand" seems to be a combination of the sage green and pewter? Must have had too much of that green paint left and needed something to do with it!

mstams 06-21-2005 02:54 PM

LoLo, you just reminded me...

Anyone see the black H2's in the movie Be Cool?

Talk about Blue Balls. In Shag's case, Maroon Balls.

Read it and weep folks...obviously YELLOW is the superior color.

Printed from http://www.care2.com
Your Favorite Color: What it Says About You
Adapted from “The Healing Power of Color” by Betty Wood (Inner Traditions, 1998).
Simple Solution

Whether we’re a vibrant Orange, or a peaceful Blue, our color preferences are a key to understanding our personalities. Find out what this color expert has to say about your favorite color: what does it reveal about who you really are?

White: Symbolic of purity, innocence, and naivete,...

Red: ... those who choose it can be abrupt at times... quick to judge people and take sides.
.. so they may be unaware of their own shortcomings. They find it hard to be objective and may blame others for any mishaps.

Maroon: It is often a favorite color of someone who has been battered by life

Orange: This color of luxury and pleasure appeals to the flamboyant Orange people may be inclined to dramatize a bit. They can be a little fickle and vacillating,

Yellow: The color of happiness, wisdom, and imagination, Yellow is chosen by the mentally adventurous, searching for novelty and self-fulfillment. Yellow usually goes with a sunny and shrewd personality, with a good business head and a strong sense of humor. It is the color of intellectuality and all things to do with the mind. Yellow folks are usually clear and precise thinkers who have a good opinion of their own mental capacities and who have lofty ideals.

Gray (Pewter): The color of compromise. Older Grays like life to run on an even keel with few ups and downs. Young Grays may be withdrawing from life and suppressing their personalities. Grays often tend to over-work.

Black: Black people want to give the appearance of mystery, but their preference may also indicate a suppression of desires and worldly aims.

Co-pilot,

Ken wants you to pee on his face and stick your finger up his butt. But he's afraid to ask.

Yeah, there weren't any black, red, yellow(short bus) or desert sand rigs making their way up LB after TEAM PEWTER POWER got done. I didn't notice any "LB is now closed" signs after we came down so I'm wondering what happened.

SFox, why did you make your wife walk LB anyway? She could have hitched a ride.

Team Pewter Power will be giving free rides up Lion's Back on the next trip.

HUMMER H3 4 ME 06-21-2005 04:35 PM

I had to go with Stealth Gray and Desert Sand...
