WHY??

98 SNAKE EATER 07-20-2003 05:48 PM

WHY??

Hummer Man 07-20-2003 05:59 PM

I would LOVE to see the other side of this H2 - I just have to know this persons taste in fuel doors!!

DiscoDancingRover 07-20-2003 06:00 PM

I am going to save that one. Just like negate did with the 2-tone discovery. But I wonder, how do you make left and right turns?

That's easy, just pop the hood for clearance

Hell no this is gonna show up again...

hummer33 07-20-2003 09:28 PM

i suppose it belongs to someone who is a celebrity. personally, if it were higher up and had those tires, i would actually kind of like it.

All it needs is a winch and it will look cool.

Seriously this has to be a photoshop picture, I mean would anyone actually do this?

It might be photoshoped, but it seems too fuzzy

Probably hydrolic suspension?

Goes up and down? What an abomination!

It must be hydrolics. I'll bet when it lifts up it looks pretty good. Not sure how much height it would have though, have to see it rather then speculate.

Dan 07-21-2003 11:33 AM

Doesn't look like a celebrity property its parked on. More like a farm or something. And why does it still have the dealer stickers in the window? My guess is it's BS.

Just my observations.

It's hard to tell if the pic is real or not, if it is, who ever did this to that poor H2 needs serious help !!!

Albie 07-21-2003 01:57 PM

I was watching cribs a while back and I think Shaqs car does this. He said its sleeping and hit the switch and it rose about 3 or 4 inches.

MAC 07-21-2003 02:28 PM

If you look at the front bumper, it shows the H2 is under modification. They are working on it and still building the thingies under the body. I think this photo was taken before the body was raised to the desired height.

Circuitguy 07-21-2003 02:36 PM

Its a body-drop with air bags at all four corners. They lowered the body about 5 inches. Very popular in the LA area. I don't think it's finished though. I like the way it looks,I have always had lowered cars and trucks since I was 16. Looks cool but it is a waist of an H2....BIG-C

its a photo shop

Dan 07-21-2003 02:59 PM

I got it! I bet its a stolen recovery. Think about it - the dealer sticker is still in the window, its sitting on the dirt, its missing parts, and it looks to be outside a body shop/towing facility.

I bet that its a pic of an H2 stolen off the dealer lot & stripped. Then some Photochop geek put some wheels under it.

You can't sell H2 parts, there is no market for it, thieves do far better with Honda and Toyata. I read they are thugs who place orders for parts then the thieves go out to fill the orders.

Dan 07-21-2003 05:29 PM

That's true MAC - I got a set of GTA rims back in the early '90s that way. Cheeep!! A friend worked at a dealer parking cars & would "fill orders" once in a while.

My moral standards are much higher now. I wouldn't ask where they came from.

That's gotta be a photo chop.

Look at the bolt pattern on the wheels. It's huge, and it appears to be only five lugs.

Plus, look at the back wheel. It's shining, while the body above it is in the shadows.

For those who think it's Photochopped

DiscoDancingRover 07-22-2003 09:03 PM

Where did you find this?

DennisAJC 07-22-2003 09:18 PM

I hate...no wait...

I don't know, the more I look at it, the more it kinda grows on me.

Do you have any photos of it up?

Kind of cool in a Twight Light Zone way.

Someone posted it on my website...

H2Norcal 07-22-2003 11:12 PM

I hate to say this but I really think it looks cool. I would never buy one and would laugh out loud if I saw it on the road, but I admire someone that took the money and time to do this to an H2. I would surely wave or flick my lights to this enthusiast (if it can roll).

Keep in mind I am an H2 off-road purest too.

I like it.

98 SNAKE EATER, The second pic you posted tells the whole story! Look at the rear of the vehicle and you will see that this is the WHEEL CHAIR READY H2 Lowering package - The owner is visible in the PIC! God bless her - Without this lowering job she could never get in!

BKLYNH2 07-23-2003 05:27 PM

Guys, it's obvious that this Hummer has fallen out of a tree. And to think I thought you were experts.

Circuitguy 07-23-2003 08:51 PM

what a waste of money and time.........still laughing out loud..some people have some weird tastes.....and to think you can't even steer it..........soft....

DennisAJC 07-24-2003 12:51 AM

What would be cool is if he puts the standard tires back on.That would look deceiving until you pushed the buttons.

Alright Chris, don't make me post the Land Rover Montero edition. I know that slamed H2 came from D-web

DiscoDancingRover 07-26-2003 05:31 PM

The wierd thing is I saw a Chevy Trailblazer at work the looked exactly like that, the colour scheme and all.

Zing 08-08-2003 09:18 PM

That is so unfortunate. I've been pretty open to the H2 mods, but the H2 was simply not meant to be a low rider. What a waste of beauty.

DennisAJC 08-09-2003 09:20 PM

Nice try, but my 4 year old can photo shop better than that!
