I need some help
 

I just moved in with some new roommates, and I notice that the place kinda has this greasy smell to it, like a lot of deep frying has been going on. I'm worried this is pot, but I have no idea. Maybe it's insence (there's a lot of that here) but I don't know. Does anyone have some experience? Maybe they just like their taters fried? :(

Some of the biggest signs of marijuana usage is devil worship, growth of tails, and dried semen on pants due to constant masturbating when said stoner can't find a rape victim.

Well, I can't find any brownie mixes. There is a bottle of canola oil next to the stove, which was quite greasy when I cleaned it. Otherwise, there's no like paraphalia around. I think I've smelled this before, but I don't know where anymore... I've moved/looked at so many places in the last year. The fridge is normal, lot of beer. The one cabinet in the kitchen smells like rotten food, but maybe that's normal because there's a bag of rotting potatoes in there. There are Dead posters, and music posters, but nothing that seems outrageous. Um, don't know what else to look for.

If there is a lot of incense there is prolly a some pot somewhere in there- they just go together. The deep fried oily smell (which is really kinda gross) is prolly the munchie stash.:D

Really, you don't want to be room mates with people that do that crap all the time. Trust me I know.

Are you going to make something up or just leave? Are they friends or freinds of a friend? What are you going to say?

It was a ad in the paper. I really needed a place to stay. Where I was, she was driving me crazy, I wasn't eating, sleeping, etc. So I met with these girls and they seemed alright. Kinda hippy, but I was trying not to judge them... Anyway, when I got here today, it smells really bad.. I don't remember this from yesterday.

I'm going crazy. I have like no where to go, and I've cried more today than since Jo Lynn left me. I think I might pack up and go stay in a hotel where I know they give Ski Instructors discounts. But I can't have drugs get into my life. I'm trying to get my business going, and it would be a major issue. I hate to say like "My uncle died" but I need to go without suspicion.

And they're on their own for the rent money... I didn't sign anything, and I'm not supporting a druggie. :rolleyes:

I haven't actually seen them doing anything, because I haven't been here yet while they were.

The easiest thing may be to just ask them if they use. If they say yes then it's time to pack up and go.
If they say no then stay untill you see or strongly suspect something.

You can always tell them something is making you uncomfortable and leave. You really don't have to tell them anything. Just say you changed your mind.

Aubs, I know you are going through a lot right now. I think the best thing to do is make stuff as simple as possible- more importantly work on making yourself happy. So where you live and relax is crucial.

Isn't there a college town around there? Maybe some older folks have rooms for rent. If you have the money- a hotel room for awhile is sweet- maid service- good TV- internet ;) until you find a place. Then find someplace you will be happy with- even if it is temporary. Decorate it the way you want/stuff you love and stock up on stuff you love to eat. You may want to start training and get into biking and ride with CO Hummer in that thing you all were talking about. It will give you a focus on something.

Sounds like it was a crack house or meth lab, did you notice bad teeth (meth mouth) Glad your out! Hotels will offer monthly rates to nice folks who the think won't screw them over or break stuff. talk to some hotel Mgr.s on a discount.

Haha, I can't find anything, dammit! I'm still here because I'm trying to pack up all my other stuff and take it to the car without meeting anyone else... Covert, you know.

My head hurts though, and I cannot concentrate. I can still type fine, but I've had a headache all night. I had trouble playing Solitaire earlier. My nostrils may be irritated, but that's probably something I'm imagining. But I have no idea why it smells like it does. It's stuck IN the furniture, pillows, throws, etc. You're right, it could very well be something much more sinister than pot. Meth labs are common, and they're smelly, but probably worse than this... There are places I haven't looked, like a locked closet, but I'd expect that in a roommate situation. I have looked in other closets and found beads, whips, trivial pursuit, etc. Nothing abnormal. I haven't gone into the roommates areas, so I don't know what might be sitting around in there. Maybe it's worth a look-see. Then I'd know for certain.
