Truck just got broken into, broad daylight

Mother F'ers. broad daylight in the middle of a parking lot in plano, tx. stole my damn ipod and phone, not to mention the damage to the damn handle. they broke in on the passenger side front. looks like they broke the handle surround to gain access to the lock. any ideas on how to stop this? i know this has happened to a bunch of us. i know the obvious, an alarm, but that still wont prevent em from braking in again and stealing more sh$t. they just have to be quicker. any ideas?

Hat to say, but that is the EASIEST way to break into GM trucks and then to make matters worse, the FUKIN alarm won't go off if it's broken into that way.

The best way, sorry to say, is Chrome door Buckets. They tried to do the same to mine, but the chrome door buckets don't break like the plastic OEM ones ;)

It does make a mess of the paint with their SCREWDRIVER

That reminded me of another Seinfeld episode.:D

Nothing you can do but let the insurance and police take care of it and PUT IT BEHIND YOU. Sorry to hear though.

File a report with the PD. The statistics are the only thing that is going to improve the crime rate. Cops will probably rag on you for leaving an IPod in plain site, but you can still force them to record it. We must have had better parents, and we definately have better lives. F'em all! I left my Dodge unlocked once in my driveway overnight and some a$$ wipe stole my dirty coveralls? What the F are they going to do with a pair of dirty coveralls beside inconveinence me. We need to be able to protect our property with guns, that would discourage some people. WHAT'S MINE IS MINE! Good Topic!

Re: Truck just got broken into, broad daylight

i reported it immediately with the police. but an insurance claim is frickin useless. they said that my car insurance will only cover the vehicle and things attached to it. so they will cover the damage from the stupid f#cks breaking in. They said my homeowners insurance will cover anything stolen. so, damage is probably $250-500, my deductible is $500. Things stolen: my ipod and razor phone, value: about $500 total, me homeowners deductible is $1000. So it's pointless to even file on insurance.....what a c&cksuckin scam insurance is!

he stopped answering the phone so i had it shut off so his useless ass wont dial mexico. on the lighter side, phone insurance is sending me a new phone overnight. WHY CANT THESE F%CKING PEOPLE GET A F%CKING JOB AND EARN THEIR OWN SH&T! I WISH I WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT WITH THE DAMN CRIME IN PROGRESS. I WOULD HAVE FINALLY BEEN ABLE TO USE MY .40 CAL!

http://www.jimmijammer.com/JJ%20Installation.htm

Just finished development for the H2 for both front & back doors. Just released! I do not work for them, it was people from this site that made it happen. Also, Jimmijammer is putting up a link to this site for the support he got from here.

This will make your stock alarm actually useful because they can no longer get in through the door buckets! They will still try, but not get in. Adding an alarm with LED lights is also a good deterent to keep them from trying, but like you said they will still do it quicker.

I have both the jimmijammer plates and an alarm.

FYI... the billet buckets only allow them more leverage to pry on and does not stop them from getting in through the door buckets.

I think that you have to yell "IT'S COMING RIGHT FOR US!! " first to ensure that the threat is obvious.

They run about $40 for front and about 35 for the rear. Check that site for pricing. They may not show the rear doors on there yet, but they have them!

I believe you are correct. My step brother, in Green Bay, was mugged, robbed, wrists slit, throat cut and he was tied to a bed frame and left to die.....He LIVED. His car and cell phone were stolen and the fockheads who did it were caught because they were soo friggen stupid they kept the phone on and used it several times....they tracked the phone and the phone they called most often. One was the guy with the phone the other was the guy who put the shot gun in my step brothers mouth and yelled BANG!.

One punk was under 18 and copped a plea the other is in prison for a long time...all because of the phone.

Step bro had to break apart the bed frame...he's a very big guy, to get free and managed to get to a neighbors house before he lost all his blood. He survived and the punks are in jail. Stupid mf'ers.

Phil, they can still get in by reaching in there. There is a lock rod on each door even if there is no key cynlinder. Steve at JimmiJammer will be glad to answer any questions: redline34@cox.net

Re: Truck just got broken into, broad daylight

Should slap an Auto Page 860 alarm on it. That would have set it off and then the system would have paged you that your alarm was going off and what was wrong (I.E. Hatch open, Door open, shock sensor, etc)

Then you can go out and beat some ass. Because it has the FM frequency and not AM like most remotes, it has more range and the LCD display tells you what's up with your ride

Just posted this to another thread but it would apply here as well! :D This would make a nice add on to your alarm and add teeth to the command to "Please step away from the Vehicle" There is video included at the Link. :D
http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/africa/9812...me.thrower.car

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (CNN) -- Crime-obsessed South Africans have a powerful new weapon with which to stop likely criminals: the car flamethrower.

Casting a man-high fireball, reportedly with no damage to the paint, the Blaster has been placed on 25 South African vehicles since its introduction last month.

At 3,900 rand ($655), it offers a cheap, dramatic defense against carjackers. It has yet to be deemed illegal.

South African courts allow killing if convinced that it's in self-defense. The defense is not unheard of. In last year's 13,000 carjackings, criminals often brandished weapons or used them with little provocation.

The Blaster squirts liquefied gas from a bottle in the automobile's trunk through two nozzles, located under the front doors. The gas is then ignited by an electric spark, with fiery consequences.

Both sides flame at the same time, regardless of whether the attack is coming from just one side of the vehicle, or whether passersby are on the other side. But the breadth and depth of blast can be modified according to individual preference.

Fire blinds, not kills, maker assures

Blaster inventor Charl Fourie, 33, disputed concerns that the flamethrower could burn someone to death.

"My personal feeling is that it would definitely blind a person. He will never see again," he said

Firefighters, medical personnel and the police agree 100 percent "that it will never kill a person," Fourie asserted. "This is definitely non-lethal.... A person is not going to stand there for a minute while you roast him. It will fend off the attacker, and that's the end of it."

Fourie has filed an international patent application. He anticipates thousands of orders nationally and from abroad. "The demand is huge," he said.

First customer a Johannesburg police official

The first buyer, Police Superintendent David Walkley of Johannesburg's crime intelligence unit, is satisfied the Blaster is legal, provided it is used correctly.

"It depends entirely on the circumstances and whether you can justify self-defense," he said.

"Yes, there are certain risks in using it, but there are also risks in not having anything at all."

Who's going to be the first to install one? :D Hmmmm...I wonder if Klaus has install instructions for it?
