SOB
SOB, A**hole, pr**k, MF, those are the names for him or her. The person who decided last night that my H3 would look better with the front end lowered by about four-six inches, the POS who thought I needed to new front tires.
![]() So, here I sit waiting for Belle Tire to call to say they finally got the two new tires in and the H3 is ready to roll. It was not an anti-hummer thing, since six of my neighbors also had their cars lowered. Some on the one side, some on the rear, some on the front; I guess it depended on the SOB that was doing the lowering. Guess I can hold off on rotating them for a while. Until next time.... ![]() |
Re: SOB
So, how did they do it. Knife the sidewall?
I'm betting it's some kids. Most likely live in your neighborhood. |
Re: SOB
Those *******less ***s*** motha******* blue*** ****suckers**** *holes***cheese*** ***.
Hope they find them and let everyone who got their tires stabbed, stab those bishes. |
Re: SOB
Probably some 15 yo kids. I'm worrying about that too, since I park my truck outside. Especially for a $300 per tire.

Very thin knife right in the upper sidewalls. Yes, most likely kids, yes, if it were legal, I would shoot 'em. |
Re: SOB

Re: SOB
That really stinks.

Re: SOB
Happened to my old blazer once, parked out front. Some HS kids were out to get my neighbor's kid and thought it was his !!!
But that's not the worst of it ... I only replaced the two on the same axle. No problem till I went over Vail pass in the slush and snow. Went from 2hi to 4hi and the difference between front and rear tire diameter blew out the front diff!!! That sure cost a bit to fix  Lesson learned ... rotate the tires and replace all 4 at once. |

It's not legal to slash peoples tires, so why worry about the legality of your recourse? ;) |
Look on the bright side!!!
C'mon F5Fstop, look on the bright side....
What a perfectly justifiable excuse to get a new set of 35's!!! ;) JUST DO IT!!!!! |
Re: SOB

Re: SOB
Two new tires, total costs $375.00, insurance covers $275.00. But what a pain in the arse. Hang around for the flatbed and they were busy in the neighborhood this morning, so I did have to wait. Get the neighbor to drive me up, and when I'm gone, UPS attempts to delivery my Pioneer AVIC Z1. So, now I have to pick it up tomorrow at UPS.
dеiтайожни: Not legal to shoot someone in MI for vandalism a vehicle. That is, unless you disturb him in the act, and he points the knife at you, at which time he is threatening you, and you can protect your life with deadly force. So, I hope these kids out there doing this understand, that knife in the hand can be the death of someone. |

Nope, absolutely true. I bought a new tire to match my unused spare (BFG Long Trail, 31x10.5R15) and put them on the rear till I could afford all 4 tires. The front tires had the same size rating but were a different brand (some no-name crap the dealer installed). They didn't look much different to the eye (about what you'd expect for new versus used), but it was enough to put pressure on the locked 4x4 system. The diffs heated up and the weaker diff failed. I'm just lucky they didn't both fail. |

Strap to the hood? Nope! strap 'em face down to the underbody cross members and take them down the Rubicon:D |

Re: SOB
F5 - Bummer, but glad your insurance pitched in. Shouldn't impact your insurance rates (not a collision claim).

Re: SOB
Sorry to hear about the tires
Some little sheeet down the street from the parents house did the same thing around the neighborhood years ago, fortunately someone caught him later. Believe his parents put a big can of whoop ass all over him. |
Re: SOB
Man that sucks!! But wish someone would slash my tires so I could have a excuse for 35's:mad: :D For me it would probably be karma coming back from when I was younger.
Got home late one night and was heading to bed when I saw a pickup and heard the old familiar sound of a bat vs mail boxes down the road. Went in the house and grabbed a bat and hid in the bushes next to the mailbox. Right when they slowed to a stop and were getting ready to swing I jumped out and started beating the ****out of their truck. Smashed the front grill, hood, windshield, and a couple dents in the side. Next day I get a visit from kids dad, ends up it was his truck they were driving. He was telling me he was going to call the cops, and sue me for damages and so on, but decided to make his kid pay for it when I told him I would then turn in his kid to the feds for tampering with mail. |
Re: SOB
Per my neighbor, he thinks they were back last night (two of them), standing in the street eying the H3 at 2:10 AM, but they never crossed my property. Gave the neighbor my phone number, and told him if he sees them tonight, call me, I have a BIG surprise for them.
I can't do anything if they are in the street, but I can have a quiet conversation about how having a knife in the hand can be considered a deadly threat, and how a SIG .40 will win the debate; hands down. So, if I catch 'em slicing my tires again, and the knife is in the hand, I sure HOPE they don't make any movement toward me.:D Thursday, I'm having a VIPER Responder installed. That's the one that if someone touches the vehicle, the remote (which will be on the night stand next to the SIG), chirps to let me know someone just touched the H3. Not sure what will scare them more, the SIG or me standing their in my briefs with the SIG in my hand.:D (Then again, I do have a 12-gauge semi-auto in the bedroom too..... ) |
Re: SOB
You should sleep in your truck tewnite and wait. Then scare the living sh1t out of them.
You must film it.:D |
Re: SOB
I was surprised today! Received a check from Farm Bureau of MI for the tires. Check was naturally minus my $100.00 deductible, but they did NOT pro-rate the wear on the tires (which was only 3/32, but it did surprise me).
This is exactly one-week from when the vandalism took place. I feel that was a very fast claim payment.:D |
Re: SOB
Well let me add my anger to this thread.. Up here in New Joisey...if we catch em..we bust there knee caps...then call the cops.:D
Sorry to hear about that F5. Think I'll install a VIPER Responder system. Would you consider Viper to be one of the leaders in this feild. Or is there another Security system mfg you would recommend..?? |
Re: SOB
I installed the 791 XV responder. However, the sidewinder, phthon, hornet, etc. are all made by DEI, and offer the same type of systems.
|
Re: SOB
does it provide the toucher with any notice? or do you get to surprise them??
|
Re: SOB

This would be my suprise. That pisses me off.
|
Re: SOB
The toucher (aka scumbag) will still set off the alarm, what the remote does is signal you that someone is attempting to break in, or someone just hit your car in the parking lot; as long as you are within approximate 1/4 to 1/2 mile to the vehicle.

I carry a SIG .40, but unless they have a weapon in their hand, I cannot just open fire (as much as I would like to). Only state I know of that allows this is Texas, and not sure if that is still allowed or not. |
