New, Saying hello.
Hello all, new to the forum. I tried to log onto Hummer Forums.com and then the page never loaded again???
Well, I did another search, and found this site. Seems like there is a lot more info and help here, so I joined in. I was a little confused reading some of the posts though. Was this site under a different name before? Anyway, my truck is a factory ordered... 2006 Slate Blue H3 w/ Ebony Cloth interior, built in 03/06. Adventure Package, Trailering Equipment, Auto Trans, Sunroof, Mudder Mats, Cargo Cover & Net, Carpeted Cargo Mat, Chromed GM Fuel Door. I Added... Real Wheels Seat Recliner Handles, USGI HMMWV 10' Tow Strap(to the front recovery loops), USGI Pintle hook(mounted to a GI Chain plate, and Receiver Adapter). I also found a really neat item that I just had to have. It is a 7 Pin trailer plug light that functions as a reverse light when the truck is put into 'R', and has a switch to use the light as a utilty light when the tail lights are on. Glad to be on board and to contribute to the fun of our Hummers. |

Yes. I will probably never use it, but it's got a good cool factor rating. I'll post better pics, when I get some shots snapped off. |

Re: New, Saying hello.
Hey Lex_Ordo, how do you like that reverse light? Does it put out enough light to make a difference? Do you just leave it in all the time? It looks pretty cool and would be interested if you give it the thumbs up. Also where did you get that tow strap and how much did it cost?
|
Re: New, Saying hello.
The light is Bright! 50 Watts. Like a rear Fog Lamp. I leave it in all the time. $30.00, how can you go wrong.
The tow strap came from a guy selling some of his Co's parts on ebay. I'll post the link below. It is supposed to be GI, and when I conducted a search of the printed CAGE code, (Commercial And Gov't Entity) it came back to the tag on the strap. Sounds like a duck, looks like a duck. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOW-S...ayphotohosting |

Re: New, Saying hello.
Here are some more pics. I used my Mobile phone camera, and the shots came out a little crummy, but they show what needs to be seen.
First, is the tail with pintle. ![]() Second, is the Pintle and reverse light up close. ![]() Third, is the reverse lights on using the trailer plug light. ![]() |
