Perfect handgun for CP

Came across a new revolver that me likes mucho.

Shoots .410 shot shell and a the .45 Long Colt handgun load interchangeably. Would be a great personal defense handgun.

Very nice gun!!! I was thinking a S&W .38 for her. But since the one you posted is a revolver, it could fit the bill, also.

It started with this:

Going to this:

And will end up here:

Thanks for thinking of me.:)

Uhm, won't that little red thing make a perp/rapist/fondler/thief think that it's a toy. What is that?

We have a desert eagle 44 mag, I swear when I shoot it, it knocks me back 3 feet. One time Paragon was going to be out of town for the night and he left that gun with me and told me if I hear someone breaking in just point in the direction of the noise and shoot. The sound alone would scare the sh!t out of the guy. :giggling: :giggling:

They make a great scare tatic. We had the Desert Eagle 50 for a while and just seeing the thing come out scared most people let alone being in the hands of my wife which really scared them. Hell yeah the sound of those are deafening.

That's a fiber optic site. You can remove that and put some crimson trace laser grips on. This is one application that I can see a laser site might would be advantageous.

Besides, it doesn't matter what the perp/rapist/fondler/thief thinks, the feeling of a splintered base ball bat being rammed into their chest will soon take over their thoughts.

I now carry the DE as my backup on my ankle.:giggling: ;)

This is just the best of both worlds. A shotgun in pistol form for close range.

I still think training and practice will win over anything else, but reality is reality. Some people are not going to go far enough with the training and practice. Even within reaching distance people fire handguns at the BG and miss. Firing a shotgun cartridge out of a 2.5" barrelled pistol has to be one of the best scenarios for those less than secure.

You have no overpenetration issues and with this little pistol you can stock it up with a .45 Long Colt (peacemaker caliber) to serve as a single slug finisher.

Hey Paragon...
That looks like something I would like as well. I like the idea that it shoots .410. What model is it?

While P has a keeper, and all the suggestions are great, it's obvious you all haven't met my wife. I mean come on... 5'4" and a buck-eight with a DE??? Puh-leeze!!! That'd knock her back through the wall and I'd have a hell of a mess to clean up. I mean with all that drywall work and the painting... With her dislocated shoulder she'd never be able to hold up her end of the repairs.

Sheeez... Get it together.

I would go with the .38. Those featherweights are excellent, tiny guns and the kick is manageable for a woman. That's what my wifey has.

Yep. That's my thought on it.

The only gun I have right now that I feel she could shoot comfortably is an old .32, because it's very heavy, and MAYBE the Glock 26. The 357 and 45 are off limits. She'd hit the ceiling.

I have one of those and the wife doesn't like to shoot it. The glock has a huge grip, little fingers can't wrap around it. But that shouldn't be a problem for the CP. :) :OWNED:

If you get it, make sure to get those extensions for the magazines that allows you put you pinky on the grip. It gives a lot more control. But if you're gonna conceal carry it on your hip or ankle it sticks out a lot more.

I've had one for years and it shouldn't be a problem for her getting the fingers around it.

Keep her away from the +Ps and she should be happy.

I like it on the hip, or in the pocket, when necessary, so I've never had the extension.

I leave this for the S/O for protection. She's a small girl and it feels just right for her. She's fired it at the range many times and Tammy like this one best. She asked me one time why some of the bullets have holes in them.:D

I hear what your sayin Ken. Sounds like she's a little small. For verification purposes I'll need some "hood ornament" pics to be sure. ;)

Re: Perfect handgun for CP

I think way too many here are missing the point.

The original handgun I posted shoots both a .410 shotshell and a .45 Colt. One can chamber 2 .410s with buckshot for defense purposes and follow that with a .45 if wanted.

Shooting a .410 at the BG can be a much more effective defense for many than the required accuracy of the typical single slug handgun round.

That would be a GREAT little stopper!---With Crimson Trace Grips of course!....Even the Delicate Princess--CP, could handle it!

Go get a 22 auto pistol (ruger) and a 10/22 , a couple bricks of ammo, and GO SHOOT! :D Quite Typin about it, and GO Do!!....Let the collection begin! :D

Hey, Did you guys know that Colorado doesn't honor the Virginia CCW? Colorado honors any state's permit if that state recognizes a CO permit. VA doesn't. What a loser state. You guys should get out of there ASAP!
