What a night. Broke up with the girl I was seeing because she was trying to use me to make her other boy interest jealous. Then I tried to talk to a girl at the bar who totally ignored me. Now the girl I just broke up with won't stop texting me or calling. And the girl before her is telling me she's still not over me.... :( My best friend just decided it's time to dump her b/f too. What a night.... At least I got to hang out with my buddies for a few hours at the bar, but I smell like a nasty cigarette. :mad:

You won't read this for awhile since it's a peachy 7:30 or so Friday morning. But hopefully you didn't go over to her house. It sounds like it was a wild night and everyone was just drunk.

Going out at bars on a Thursday night can only bring you trouble, everyone there is either really immature, desperate or trying to find themselves- or all 3. Alcohol does strange things to people anyway, so it's a cocktail for disaster. It is nearly impossible to hold onto a relationship while going bar hopping- on a weeknight.

I would evaluate things later on today or tomorrow. You and your best friend might want to think about getting your stuff in order and decide if whether one of your significant others is worth going back to. Is it someone you would marry, bring home to your parents etc...? You will never meet anyone worth holding on to in a bar. They could be a great person, but not at that moment, maybe only collect a phone number- no kissing or mingling and certainly not humping.


Then when you figure out what you want in a person or in life and are truly happy with yourself- go to a bookstore, coffee shop, volunteer somewhere or ** insert other place/group (that doesn't serve alcohol)** so that "the one" or at least a mature individual to have fun with- will find you. And fer gawd's sake- don't take them to a bar.

And stay away from needy chicks!:twak:

That's not true and is dictated only by the time frame of the holding period. For instance, some girls have little holding power, so you just screw 'em and tell them to get the hell out of the house.

Others, with strong holding powers, ie: chefs, should be held onto until the morning. You can have sex with these gals again and they can make you breakfast. Then you can kick her out.

Last of the group are the chicks with super-strong holding power. This group is good for CES, breakfast, CES and a good vacuuming. But always, always kick 'em out.

Keep your head up and make sure you get the right coochy for the circumstances. It makes a world of difference.

Edit: I forgot to mention the ones that have ZERO, ZIP ZILCH holding power. Just tag members of this group in the bathroom and leave 'em there with a handful of bleachy toilet paper.

The "girl" is not my soon-to-be-ex wife. She's off living with her b/f, sapping the life out of him. She lost her H3 to stupidity and the repo man, her car her father gave her died, and she's moved in with this dude and is working at a retail outlet store with her photography certificate... I haven't talked to her in a while. It's depressing, and she always wants something.... :rolleyes:

See, the problems stem from Myspace. All my friends, who I'm very happy to have met, we've all pretty much met on Myspace. And we meet our dates on Myspace. And we decide when we're going to hang out on Myspace... It's very strange. And then all of us don't like to date people who don't have Myspace because we can't be nosy and look at where we are on their friends lists.... :D

I'm leaving for school in about a month, so I think that will be a much better place to find women. I know there will be many more "keepers" there. Thank you for the advice though CP. I have to agree that you're probably right.

What would you guys do without me? I provide endless entertainment, much at my own expense! :D

First of all going out for a round or two on thirsty thursdays is completly fine and normal. :beerchug:

Meeting chicks at the bar = not good. The last girl I met at the bar (albeit was hotter then hell), had all sorts of family problems, her unlce did things to her that we dont need to talk about, she was an ex crack head. The list went on and on. Needless to say I did not stick around for long.

Myspace... yeah, no good for dates. None of my buddies have found a level headed person on myspace. If you want to find people from highschool or whatever thats fine.

A buddy of mine a few years back met this wonderful, freaky and extremely kinky girl at a bar. Supposedly she liked to nibble on things. Well now my buddy is missing a nipple. He is not with her anymore.

That whole area of The Block is weird. There's a bunch of crazy bars in a one block area.

I don't go there and haven't been there in years.

If your friend is still here, tell him to hit Shore Dr. Super cool bars and they don't need all that security.

Yup, at least in my book I did. I spent every summer in VA Bch, staying at a house north side by the Lighthouse when I was a boy and I as grew older and could drive I would stay at the hotels (the blue something) and surf at Crotan, cept now that is all houses. And as I started having money I would stay at the Barclay and party at Peabodys and the Raven. I remember 17th st sub shop which is long gone, used to go in barefooted and on that dirty sandy floor, I am sure there was concrete under it.
Now I only come for the surf festival every year, and stay on that end of town. I have tons of great memeories there...almost all of them are from VA Bch. I was even there when Mt Trashmore was opened and when it closed, havn't been to it since it reopened years ago.
