Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
Was it a giant leap or cheap?:D

Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
I dont know, I'm not really in to space enough to care. However, if you like you could ask Buzz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQKxAqpjroo:popcorn:

Are you kidding??? There are too many people in government who would have known that can't keep their mouths shut. :twak:

Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
Definately real. As an aerospace engineer i dont see why it wouldnt have been possible. And in a decade or so will do it again, unless our funding is cut, which congress is just itching to do. Fu**ing a$$holes! Cool poll!:)

Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
I'm sure they LANDED on the moon, but I don't know if the "videos" they took were REAL????
|
Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
I'm not saying it is either way. Some of the questions asked or things pointed out in that website (among other documentary type things) were interesting I thought. (Who was out there filming the "giant step" and who filmed the take off for earth, why was there no radio delay, Kubrick's wife and her confession after his death..etc.) Don't twak me please.:(:D
I was doing my morning surfing for News etc. and noticed they had put out some new pictures of Saturn. "Dazzling" pics of Saturn: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,....science/space I thought the pics looked really fake and then looked around feverishly for a real looking pic of Saturn and have yet to find one. |

Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
Defintly 100% real the defintly went. As for the people who say why arent they going now is because there ending the Space Shuttle program in 2010 and are starting a new program and they are planning on going back to the moon sometime within 10 years or something like that.

I didn't even vote- didn't even give an opinion, but thanks for changing the pole.:twak: Just trying to induce some discussion on a Saturday and was hoping for more words/theorums either debunking or supporting a controversial subject. You know, stoking the fire a lil bit. But thanks Grendel.:OWNED: |

Pro Wreseling is real!:beerchug:
Moon is paper |
Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
Real. They got there with the computing power of your average scientific calculator, which is really pretty awesome.
There was no big radio delay because the moon is only 238,857 miles miles away and light (including radio waves) travel at a speed of 186,282 miles/sec would have resulted in a 1.28 second radio delay. The camera was probably on the leg of the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module). I forget what else you listed. :D |

Yeah - NASA admitting to losing the most important footage that they have ever taken will have the conspiracy whackjobs bashing their keyboards in a frenzy now. It was real - I was the one that went ahead to get the landing pics.:) |
Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
how can it be real if they didant bring back any cheese :jump: :giggling:

Exactly! Also, since we supposedly "landed on the Moon," NASA has been assasinating members of my family. My maternal grandpa died in late 1969; my uncle Stephen died in 1974; my great uncle Bob died in 1981; my paternal grandpa died in 1999; my maternal grandma's second husband died in 2003; my cousin died in 2004; one of my aunts died in 2004; my maternal grandma died last year; and another aunt died a few months ago; etc ... Just like all those astronauts! Coincidence? I think not! NASA is clearly offing my family! It must be because they all doubted the Moon landing! |
Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
Oh, and by the way, my great aunt (paternal grandma's identical twin) recently had a mysterious "heart attack." She survived, but I'm sure NASA will get her soon too, just like all those other Moon landing doubters.

Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
4 idiots :twak:
Couldnt you use a high powered telescope to see the flag or the buggy or the launch platform that was left behind. |
Re: Landing on the Moon: Real or Fake
You could probably use the Hubble to take pics of the moon landing area, but really isn't that just a giant space-based laser disguised as a telescope-thingy. I thought all the hubble pictures were just made up on a computer by one of those old-school fractal programs

I'm sure someone at a university or a nerd at home has some images of the landing site. :clapping: http://www.space.com/php/multimedia/...ick-to-Enlarge I don't know that Hubble could look at the Moon. It's focal length might not allow it to focus on an object so close to earth. EDIT: Actually, Hubble can see the moon: http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/arc...2005/29/image/ Resolution is not what I thought it would be however. |
