Dead Dog run Over by HUMMER H2

So I turn the corner to go down a road that leads to my sub division. I make the turn and get the beast up to a roaring 25-30 mph when a dog darts out from the sidewalk and "thump...thump". I get out to see how bad it is and this guy starts screaming at the top of his lungs "that is an $800.00 dog...you were hauling ass...you mother F*&^er...ect ect...

First lets make it 100% clear that I didnt actually "hit" the dog. I ran it over with two 35 x 15.5 Open Coutries. I'll assure you that there was NO DOUBT that this dog was dead. If its name was Fluffy it was now Pancake.

As it turned out the guy was jogging on the sidewalk with his dog with NO leash. A witness said that the dog turned its head, saw a deer and split.

Dont get me wromg, I feel HORRIBLE for killling the dog but the guy should be shot for running with his dog with no leash. He said "my dog NEVER runs in to the street." Apparently is does, or did.

Guy wouldnt shup up. I know he was in shock and probably horrified at the gross site but he took it too far. Even after I offered to help him scape Pancake off the street he just told me to $#*@ off.

So, my question is....
.
.
.
.
.

whats the best thing to use to get dog guts out of the ridges from a tire? :giggling:

SO the moral of the story:

DUMB SHIII Pet owner jogs with dog off leash = dog pancake.

What a dumb shiii! I feel bad for the dog... you should have kicked his ass for letting his dog run without a leash on a fawkin road!

BTW- big dog or little? With this information I can better tell you how to clean your tuck up.

after having a dog for a year already i started to feel very bad for dead animals when i see the run over. As for the guy not having him on a leash theres no law that says your dogs have to be on a leash, unless you live ina gated community then they set their own rules. And the titly doesnt exactly suit what happend the title says "DEAD dog run over by hummer h2" which literally translated means it was already dead and then run over. Anyway sorry to hear about this whole ordeal.

What about the leash law? Counties, cities, towns, municipalities, etc. in states without a state-wide leash law can usually enact their own leash laws and most do.

I don't know what the laws are where you live, but most major cities in the U.S. do have "leash laws", and they exist for good reasons. One of them is, the streets are made for vehicles, not domestic animals running loose. If the animal gets hit BECAUSE the driver could not react to it's unpredictable actions, it might be sad, but it can't possibly be the drivers fault. Damn, talk about a slippery slope, just imagine what the world would look like if that were to become the case. All types of insurance would become unaffordable across the board.

Well its tough to say how big it was. I saw a blur. The diameter of the "spot" was about 24".

Next time I'm in San Antonio I think I'll kick your ass.

Although it doesn't sound like it was your fault, how about a little sympathy for the guy? How would you like it if I flattened one of your kid that ran out in the street and then gloated about it? I don't have any kids, don't have an interest in them but I have a couple dogs that are my kids. And that is why I always keep them leashed when anywhere near a road, they see something and they're off.

I really doubt this guy's dog was like a kid to him. First thing he yells is, that's an $800 dog. I don't know of anyone who would yell the dollar value of their kid if someone hit them with their car. He probably just had the dog for status, kept it locked up in an outside cage. If that's true which it probably is, then he deserved to get his dog taken away from him. Too bad for the dog though, at least a Hummer did it and not a Prius, so it was probably quick.

Ya today i actually looked up on that leash law, and what i heard about it was your dog does not have to be on a leash, but you must be within distance to restrain it, otherwise it must be on a leash. I dont know how far away the guy was from the dog, so it could or could not apply in this case.
