Re: Garage space
Its just a thought but I'm guessing you don't hear any bitchin', moanin' or whinin' from the greenpeacers and FUH2ers....

Re: Garage space
Talk about "Weapons of Mass Recreation" ! ! !
There is an old farmer out by my mom's place in the country that has an ancient tank of some sort he refers to as a "Ronson"..... Says he is so old, it's a "Post Dealer Sample"....:giggling: He keeps that old SOB in better shape than he does his trucks and tractors......One time I traded him a 12'er of his favorite adult beverage for a ride in the damn thing....Jeez, I like to have never got my wide white ass in that damn thing....My claustrophobia was working overtime.....Ended up hanging out of the turret. What a blast....That damn thing was unstoppable. |

LOL. That's what our troops used to call our M4 Sherman tanks during WWII based on the old Ronson lighter commercial where they bragged "lights first time, every time." (The Sherman's ammo storage was easily penetrated causing the tank to light up often when hit). |
Re: Garage space
I don't know wether to be impressed or scared...
That is pretty cool though! Nice collection. |

Holy sh!t! A Mark VI Tiger. I want one of those! AK47, you might be the first person who can answer a question I have had since first watching Kelly's Heroes and then again, later, watching Saving Private Ryan. The Tiger-I tanks in those two movies appear just like yours. They appear exactly as the originals did back in '44-'45 above the tracks. BUT, the original Tigers the Krauts used in WWII had those interlocking wheels within the tracks (see photo below and/or watch any old film footage of those beasts rolling through Russia or France). Yet, all versions I've seen in movies (and yours) have a different wheel system. Why? Did they drop a Tiger-I chasis on another tank suspension or something? |
Re: Garage space
Hi there well done i give you ten out of ten for looking close at each items the privite Ryans are built on top of T-55 AM2 chassis they are not the real items as mine is built on top of T-34/85 chassis No Tiger tanks in any films are the real thing one good reason is that these tanks fetch upwards of 1m USD min ,,my tanks were in some films all three tigers were on T-34s but i noticed that underneath there was WW11 T-34s even better.
Well noticed Sir` |
Re: Garage space

So, are you saying that your Tiger is a replica built on the T-34 chasis? If so, when was it built and how accurate is it in the interior? |
Re: Garage space
Can you take a photo of your H2 next to that Tiger? I'd be interested to see the size comparison.
|
Re: Garage space
Can do the size is no different than the T-34 ,,i will show you all of them

Re: Garage space
Hi yes the Sherman is a bit weak on the steel plate side these Tanks were some of the best Medium Tanks ever made no right angles so that all bounces off ,,not like the Tiger ,,, I have one of these as well ,,,,off next week to Bosnia to look at a few more

Re: Garage space

Not sure if I understand: AK47, are those real Tiger bodies set on top of a T-34 chasis? Or are they completely built-from-scratch replicas using a T-34 chasis? |
Re: Garage space
built from scratch ,,,all are kellys heroes privite ryan mine
|

You should get a Tiger-II - it has no/few right angles either, and was almost impossible to destroy other than from the air. |
Re: Garage space

Are they comparable to the real ones in terms of weight and other specs? |
Re: Garage space
