Couple days in Moab 10-07

1 Attachment(s)
One of my friends and I ran down to Moab last Thursday and Friday. Neocon1 was working all day so he couldn't run trails with us until dark. We didn't take many pics over the little trip (especially the harder stuff because you generally had your hands full) everyone was driving their own rigs, and we made good time through the trails. Moab is always fun.

My friends Jeep is a new JK Unlimited, he has a Terra Flex lift - adjustable links with 35" Toyo M/T's. Neo drives his H3 amazingly well. We had many Jeepers coming up to us shaking their heads and saying they had never seen an H3 even attempt much of what we ran, let alone walk everything he tried. We ran all the hardest lines on Poison Spider, with a lot of Jeeps on Friday. Neo walked everything right in front of Jeepers that struggled. We watched as a Ford Bronco that had been in front of us, destroyed his back axle and had to get dragged out.

This pic is of us airing down and getting ready to make a night run.

Running the 7 mile crack at night. It's a fairly long trail and great for a night run.

It doesn't make much sense to take to many pics on a night run. :D

Timgco did an outstanding job building this H2. The lighting works exceptionally well, as does the lift.

Great pictures!!! :beerchug:

I've never run the whole Poison Spider trail. Doesn't it go to the overlook and come back the same way?

Yep, it does Rocks.

Everything in your rig ends up on the floor, going from the very front to getting stuck under your seats.:giggling:

Thanks Dennis, I know you enjoy pushing the 3'ers buttons, and obviously some of them don't deal with it well, but you should see Neo drive that stock H3. He not only kept up with modified Jeeps, he made obstacles some of them struggled on....look easy.

I wish you didn't run so many cool people out of here. ;) He is a cool guy and a hell of a wheeler. How can we put together another Elcova Moab run without so many that have made the last few great? Too many of them don't post here anymore.

WOW. Those are some really nice pics. I really have to get out there. All of those rigs are looking great and that lift on your H2 seems to flex really well. Awesome.

And we always thought Tim looked ghey driving it.

Glad to see it was just Tim looking ghey and not the rig.

Adam, I can see what you are talking about. :giggling:

Alan06SUT, Thanks man and you would love all the trail options out here. If another Elcova trip gets going you should plan to attend. The wheeling out here is incredible, there are plenty of trails that will push your truck. You would fit right in.

Mark805, thanks, and same thing goes for you man. Vacation time well spent.

Moab is a resort town and there is plenty to do. I had the Friday dinner special at Pasta Jay's and it was incredible! ;)

For those of you that have run 7 Mile Rim, you know how there is only a few inches of clearance through "burnt toast" for an H2. It seems like even less at night.

Very nice pics. Must be nice to have that kinda "playground" to take your truck out on. Very nice H2 as well.

Did you guys get some growlers over at the brewery? I've been to arches and we camped near moab on the colorado river and went into town to eat and swail beers. What a cool place. Now I just need to be there w/ the H2.

With all the practice and breakage, you figure the guy has learned a few things.:raar:

:orly:I'm flattered that you think I was responsible for the hippy's parting. Everyone knows NEO lead the H2 bashing and I spearheaded the Operation H3 Enragement retaliation to shut the whining.

He lost, he left. My sleep is still deep and undisturbed.:OWNED:

Last time I checked, the REAL and ORIGINAL Moab crew are still here.:beerchug:

Anyone who gets enraged over the internet like a child is not someone I'd be interested to wheel in real life. Too much drama. I try not to wheel with kids or newbs anymore. We learn from our mistakes.

But I'm sure given the trauma and stressful run through Moab, you've formed an unbreakable "Thelma & Louise" kind of bond which is understandable for you to fondly proclaim him as cool.

BTW. I noticed you crossed Golden Crack on the far end where it's shallow and flat.:giggling: Next time try the hard line. You have an advantage of a lift and I don't see why you would by-pass it.:D

But still pretty cool pics.:beerchug: Got any pics of anything difficult? Even simple like Potato Salad would be cool.:giggling:

Dennis you are so full of sh!t. :giggling:

You spearheaded the operation? That's fawkin hilarious....waaaay to many video games for you. :giggling:

Too much drama? From other people? :D OK........Right. If you focused on wheeling instead of drama, this place would be better off.

You noticed I ran the Golden crack? :orly:

Where's your latest wheeling pics Dennis? Nothing since 05? ;) :redx:

Hell, we just took these cause I was free on Thursday afternoon and Friday.

Potato Salad Hill, Potato Salad Hill, Potato Salad Hill.... dammmmnn did you run that? :D
