Guys/Gals,

The news is finally out officially and I needed to share it with my online family:

I AM GOING TO BE A DAD!

The little lady (Michelle) and I are about 4 months pregnant with our first. Michelle has been feeling great thus far, just a little tired - but our excitement easily overcomes a bit of tiredness.

Is my timing impeccable or what, a positive post was needed at about this time.

I may have to ban myself for not sticking to the topic of H2s, but you all had to be in the loop.

That means you had S-E-X!!! Oh my God!!! Did you guys conceive in the H2?

But seriously- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Do you think you could work it so your wife could have it in the H2 on the way to the hospital?

If, by chance, she has it in a movie theater don't let her name it after the first thing she sees. We don't need any more kids running around named Nosmo King.

Jason,

Congrats and HA-HA!!!!!!

Let me give you some helpful tips:

Don't change a diaper. Never change a diaper....for it has been proven: once you accomplish this and demonstrate such ability...you will forever be charged with "doing your share" and participating in the interval changes of bowel sanitation. Just Say No!!!

Make sure she breast-feeds for as long as possible. When the baby wakes up at night (frequently)...it'll be a shame that you don't have live breast-milk to offer. No sense in you getting up as well??? You can hide behind the many positive benefits to breast-feeding in order to substantiate this.

There's so much more to tell you...but for now let's just leave it with congrats & great news!

DennisAJC 11-24-2003 02:59 AM

Jason,

If you raise your kid like you run this Forum,

You'll be a great Dad!

Congrats buddy. Life will only get better.

Wouldn't you just FREAK OUT if the baby came out with a fro?

MAC 11-24-2003 03:34 AM

I am teaching my 13 and 15 years old sons to drive in the Hummer, yet it seems like yesterday when they were babies sleeping on my chest. I enjoyed every single minute from the moment when they were manufactured. Life is better with children. Enjoy your ride.

congrats, bro. Be sure to stear your better half towards a labor epidural when the time comes. They are not risk free, but statistically the pros far outweigh the cons overall, both for mother and baby. Please feel free to consult me for specifics if you'd like them-- I'll gladly give you the specifics and statistics --for free of coarse!
I was up on O.B. today and ran across a couple who chose to not know what the gender of their child would be. I've heard of that before, but it struck me today as a really cool way for a spectacular surprise for you and your wife... all you really care about is that it's healthy, anyway, right?? This couple were so much more excited by this "unknown element" than so many other couples who already know. I think my wife and I may do this when the time comes. Obviously you have to paint the room neutral colors!
