Updated pics....

Finally got my new wheels, I gave up trying to hunt the right 20x12 set so I settled for 20x10 XD Diesels, after all they dont look bad at all, I wanted to test how big I could go with a simple 3" leveling kit so I bought some used 38x15.5x20s diiiirty cheap, so I'll run those for a few thousand miles until I get brand new tires.
The roof rack is not nearly done yet, I just wanted to throw it on there to test how it would fit and what else I could add to it....
Enjoy the pics, still a lot more to do:jump:

Lookin' good man Can't wait to see it in a couple weeks. Do you have rear air suspension??? If so make sure you do the Air Sensor Mod. If not the first time you flex that suspension on the trail at Windrock you will be sorry lol.

Thanks guys!
I love it...there is not many "hooked up" Hummers around here so I'm defenitely turning a lot more heads now...

Nope, Springs... but thanks for looking out:)
I'm still debating if I should take the 38"s there.... if I can get some really cheap used 35s on 17s I'll throw them on my stock wheels so I dont scratch the new 20s... we'll see....

Ur over the hood brushguard design is one of the best I've seen. The ebay cheapo spots look good too! Imho though, the roof rack needs bigger diameter tubing. Maybe thinner to reduce weight, but the bigger diam will match the brushguard better. And while ur at it, maybe u can design a more eye-catching/solid rear tailight guards too?

Don't the 38s rub like crazy?

Thanks man! that means a lot, you're right on the roof rack, and honestly its just the outter frame right now, I'm gonna make it look a lot fuller and beefier, once i'm done with it I'll see if I like it and I'll either make another one or keep it, and good ida on the taillight guards.... hmmmmm:clapping:

38s DID rub a little bit, but not as much as I thought it was gonna rub, I "modified" the lower plastic piece on the inside of the fender so they dont rub anymore, the -24mm offset does help, I wish I could have found that 20x12 RBP set with a -50mm cuz that wouldn't have rubbed at all. But I'm really happy with it, no more rubbing and it looks killer:D

Thanks for the compliments!

FIRST OFF ..I LOVE YOUR H2 LOOKS GREAT ....THANKFULLY YOU LIVE IN TENN. NOT IN NYC WHERE I LIVE ..CAUSE I WAS LOOKING AT THE SAME RIMS AND THE SAME TIRES AS YOU HAVE ON YOURS ,HERE IS MY QUESTION , I DONT WANT TO GO ANY BIGGER THAN 20" , I LOVE THE TIRE SIZE YOU HAVE , IF I WOULD DO THE SAME WOULD I NEED A LIFT KIT , SOMETHING I REALLY DONT WANT TO DO ...CAN YOU ADVISE ON THIS ....CHEERS MATE

Re: Updated pics....

Get 37x12.50x20 tires then you wont need a lift. BF Goodrich makes a set of Km2's that should fit this. No lift required.

Hey buddy, yes you will need at least a leveling kit on front and spacers out back, tires differ depending on their design so you need to be careful you dont rub too much, I have 38x15.5x20s and they did rub even with the "4in lift" that supposedly the 3" leveling kit gave me with and extra push on the torsion bolts until I made an adjustment to the inside plastic piece on the inside of the fenders, AND mine are pretty worn down (about 30% left) so that also helped I guess? The reason I bought the tires used was cuz I didn't want to spend the money on new ones without knowing how bad they would rub, but they barely fit.... so if you dont want to have any issues at all I would go with 37"s.
Good luck and post some pics, welcome to the board.:beerchug:

I will be trail leading a Moderate/Hard group. So if you are interested in running with me let me know!

Hell yes....!
and BigZ, i'm not sure yet, I think I might toss the 33"s in the hotel just in case my 38"s are just too big for it, it all depends, but I really wanna have the clearance that i'm getting right now with them on, we'll see:clapping:

x2. Just keep the wheelspin to a minimum and youll be fine. This is pretty much a rule of thumb with the H2 anyway unless you like busting up cv axles and tie rods(even the fabtechs).

You may rub your inner fenderwell when "articulating" but as long as your not slicing the tires youll be fine. Find somethign to make your front and rear articulate(hill, rock, log, 18wheeler loading dock, etc) and see how bad the rubbing is and youll know what to expect.

ROUSHDEMON 10-09-2009 04:00 PM

Re: Updated pics....

lol, well I think they're 33"s... Whatever the stock tire size is, same size just in a all terrain tire, but I might just stick with the 38s anyways, Good idea tho, i'm gonna go around climbing sh*t and see what happens.. Thanks!:jump:

HumminNBoatin' 10-09-2009 04:29 PM

Re: Updated pics....

The stockers are 35's. And your you set of 35's have good tread I would take them over your worn down M/T's. It really rocky there and A/T's do a great job on the rocks especially when its wet out the A/T's will get much better grip on slick rock than the Toyo M/T's.

ROUSHDEMON 10-09-2009 05:26 PM

Re: Updated pics....

well, you have a very good point, these are the 3...5"s that I have, I thought they were 33s but they only have 3K miles on them, and now the truck is lifted a little too.
I'm so torn, I'm just not gonna go...... ha, jk, I'll probably try violating my 38s and see how they do offroad this weekend, depending on that I'll probably throw the 35s on.

Awesome look! I think the H2 is about the only vehicle taht looks good all black, everyhting else seems to need some chrome or something...

by the way there is also VHT Night Shades which is the most popular for blacking out. Best results would also be from sanding and adding a clear coat at the end.. the clear is important as it will look very dull if not, and cheapen the look of the truck...

Roush, tell me all about your Goodyear Duratracs, i have been eyeing these for a while as a great replacement for stock BFG A/T.I haven?t seen one person on any forum give a review on how they are for a Hummer. How do they handle and balance up? Are the 35's giving you enough clearance? Too bad they dont make those in 37's. If you have time could you post a good review on what you think of the Duratracs and maybe more pics! Thank you

Rich
