Just finished watching Retro on MTV.

I actually found myself dancing to MJ's "Thriller".

Ah-Ha's "Take On Me" is still my NO.1 favorite of all time still.

Those who are disgusted reading this GFY and me no care.

Damn guys, we're getting old.

The Ah-Ha's??? Who the hell are they, and what year(s) were they popular?

KenP 12-11-2005 03:52 AM

Channel 8 on XM kicks ass.

They were popular back when you were 75.

Good God, that is not a mental picture I needed. Dennis "I got no rid-dem" kicking his short 26 inseam Asian legs around, grabbing his crotch (more often than he does on a regular day) squealing out of tune with the biggest mental case in all of LA....

One of the reasons why the neighbors leave me alone.

You should see me when I wash the H2.

h2co-pilot 12-11-2005 10:14 AM

"Take on me", no doubt- though I was 6 or 7. Dennis LMAO, I can see you dancing to thriller.

Klaus 12-11-2005 11:50 AM

A-Ha also did the theme song for the James Bond movie "The Living Daylights".

My favorite music video has to be "I Can't Drive 55" by Sammy Hagar.

Now cruising music is another good topic.

Awesome gas stomping tune. But I lost it for Sammy when he went off and tried to revive Van Halen(Panama was another cool cruising tune in my then Fiero days.).

Damn! Now I'm starting to think if my cruising collection is up to snuff.

Time to burn some more CD's.

P.S. Has anyone heard Adam sing? His rendition of Duran Duran's "Hungry Like The Wolf" is suicide inspiring. Especially near the end when he tries to imitate the moaning girl in the background.....Disturbing and horrifying.

My dash cam was running during this at MOAB and I have the audio to prove it.

(How about posting various audio clips of people who didn't know the camera was on. )

DennisAJC 12-11-2005 03:29 PM

Ahhhh,

And I thought I was going to do squat for Sunday.

h2co-pilot 12-11-2005 04:37 PM

LMAO!

They were the only guys that looked cool and accepted in clown suits in those days.

devilsfan 12-11-2005 11:39 PM

Ugh Klaus, now I feel sick.

I have the Ah-Ha tape. Still. Now that's sad.

Even worse - I have tapes from Poison, Ratt, Skid Row, GNR, Quiet Riot, etc, etc. What were guys thinking back then with the hair/makeup thing?

Oh - and every single CD from Rush. That's hubby's deal tho.

Fav music....anything by Aerosmith. They were our "first dance" song at our wedding.

FIXED. Me in my Miami Vice white suit and Flock Of Seagulls hair.

Adam Sandler's "The Wedding Singer" was so bang on.

That's just the tip of the iceberg... I have 20 DVDs worth of rock videos that I transferred from Betamax tapes of MTV I recorded in the 80s!

DennisAJC 12-12-2005 01:10 AM

I still have our Sony Betamax. And the quality is still better.

Remember Friday Night Video Fights?

Dexy's Midnight Runners with "Come On Eileen" ran champ 7 weeks straight.

Dennis Deyoung's "Desert Moon" classic.

"Maniac" from Flashdance was the first time I made a mess in my pants without even touching it.

We're getting old people.

Efrain 12-12-2005 01:28 AM

All Motels videos are great in their own sort of way! Whip It was cool too, and Cum on Feel the Noiz . Man, there are tons of great vidoes!!

devilsfan 12-12-2005 01:36 AM

Friday Night Videos I remember. Even better - Headbangers Ball.

Stacy

rvs9 12-12-2005 02:04 AM

Robert Plant's "Addicted to Love" still ranks top on my list!

Walter_Cronkite 12-12-2005 04:37 AM

You punks call that music?
