Duramax swap was done about 20K miles ago. NOT ONE OUNCE of problems from the install. As per a quote from GM?s head guy at their diesel dept. ?This is as close to a factory install as I?ve ever seen?.



Duramax diesel swap with built alison transmission from Mike?s transmission in CA.(allows 300/600 additional HP/TQ)

Diablo tuner

4.56 gears

40? Toyo Open Countrys

Rancho lift.

Torsion keys w/HD 2500 torsion bars

Warn front bumper and winch

Wired for 3 cameras (rear view, hitch and connection for trailer)

headrest DVD?s

Power Amp electric folding running boards

tonneau cover (has hail damage-aluminum)

Ipod/iphone connector

Navigation bypass to enter address on the fly

Roof rails

Tinted windows (including windshield)
EVERYTHING works, nothing jerry rigged, by-passed, NO CORNERS CUT!


The body is a 9.5 out of 10

There are four things wrong with this truck.

There is a less than an inch long scratch on the left rear door.

3 stone chips on the front grille (painted white)

Some of the LED lights are out on the ac control and steering control buttons. Replaced them on my old H2, just hadn?t done it on this one yet, doesn?t really affect anything.

console has 1? chunk taken out of rubber covering on hard plastic.

LOL, but why was it red? I?ve never seen red before. (only while driving, with my wife, my daughters, wrenching on anything, computers, eating, using the bathroom) Other than that, I?m quite normal...lol.

I’m going to do it as soon as I get it detailed and see what it brings. Last year I put it in Lowe’s Motorspeedway auction and it only brought 51K. (corrected) Of course, that auction is mostly dealers and they’re going to try to steal it.

LOL, Thanks.... I special ordered a new aluminum enclosed trailer. We had some issues so the company is buying it back and building me another. If I can get mine sold, I want to buy a trunk that I can use a fifth wheel.

I don't need to sell it, it never gives me any problems (except last week, I hear a whump, whump, whump sound coming from the right front. I replaced the axle (go figure, a friend of mine had a BRAND NEW axle in the box) but that didn't correct the problem. I replaced a hub assy today and it fixed it.

The truck has only had 2 things wrong with it, the hub assy and a power steering unit since I converted the truck (hell, since I owned the truck) It's been great and I have no desire to sell it other than to get one with a fifth wheel.

If it doesn't sell before the deadline that I can make changes, I'll keep what I have.

No, it didn't sell, I still bought the dually to tow with, I've just been driving the H2 for my family car. I may need to sell it (and the new Porsche) now though, I'm trying to buy a new building for my body shop.


We'll see....


BTW, just got the dually back together. Painted the bed, all the door handles and all the damn woodgrain wood trim on the dash and door panels.

I mean seriously, who actually wants wood grain?

I'm really not interested in the Raptor as much as the ability to sell it easier.

I'm in the process of spending a little over a mil for a new building for my body shop. Looks like I may have to sell the Porsche, dually and H2.

From what I understand (and see) they put a 1" body lift on the H2's when they do the Duramax conversions? Can you take a pic of the spacer blocks they use?

Wish they had but they didn't... I'm on stock mounts.


The reason they use the spacers is because of the relationship between the engine and radiator support. They modified my radiator support.

Put a hold in it. I may need a turbo replaced. Guy sent me money and the next day, a check engine light came on. So far, I replaced the actuator butay have an issue with the turbo.

I don't want to sell it to someone if it has an issue.
