So my H2 is in the new Sandra Bullock movie...
 

It called "The Heat", and will be in theatres in 2013.

They just finished the scene a few days ago in Boston. It's an FBI vs Russian mob movie. The director wanted the "bad guy" to pull up in front of a club and get out of a black Hummer H2. :fdance:

They made this makeshift club out of an empty restaurant, a stunt driver was driving the Hummer, and the bad guy whose real name is Adam Ray, gets out of the passenger seat, walks up to the doorman, shakes his hand, and walks into the club.

Unfortunately that is the only scene it will be in, but it was pretty cool to see. Plus I, err, the H2 got $1,500 for 2 hours of "work";)

Humvee21: The roof racks are blacked out with just regular bedliner. I just put that third rack on a few days ago. I wasn't sure at first, but like it now, seems like it shoulda come that way from the factory... Everything else is just blacked out too, nothing major on the outside really... The inside headliner has a nice black velour liner...

pdxrealtor: Thanks, and they are 24" Zenetti Rims with Toyo M/T 37x13.50x24 Open Country tires. I bought the truck with those already on it. He didn't lower it. I think it just looks like that in pictures. It's much different in person, this thing is huge...

Awesome, and that's a great looking H2 you have! I know when they used W T's Black H1 in Burn Notice they paid him $2000 for two days of use and according to him they put 21 miles on it. You got a much better hourly rate!

I agree about the third bar...when using the OEM bars I think three looks way better than just two; and three is actually more useful if you're hauling plywood or drywall.

I always thought...but could definitely be wrong on this...that the Adventure Package came with three crossbars and the Base and Luxury models only came with two. I kinda remember the dealer mentioning that to me years ago when I went to buy a third bar...who knows.

I just found the 08-09 adventure package did not come with it, but the 03-07 Adventure package did come with a dealer installed black roof rack. I think that might have been the one with the lights on it, that's probably why the black. I know the limited edition 06 blue one had that...

It's an 08 with 15k miles. I pretty much bought it as it looks. The only thing I did was add a GM perfomance CAI some blacking out to all the lights and a third roof rack. The revious owner put the tires/rims, black suede headliner, polished H2 skid plate, black grill etc...

I have another H2 with 12k miles that is sold this coming Monday. It's the 08 Limited Edition Ultra Marine Blue. I liked the color for about a day when I bought it. I realized I like my black, won't go back;)

I bought maybe 5 brand new black H2's including an 09, that I sold with 2k miles, and ever since they stopped making htem, I kicked myself in the butt, and have been searching for another low mile one. In the last year I went from like 5 used 08s, from 25k miles, 22k, 17k, etc... The 08 that you saw that I sold had 1,600 miles I think. That sold to a shiek in Dubai for $75k. I heard the guy (the exporter) that bought it from me made $50k off the sale too! I was going to keep that one but I couldn't refuse the $...

I guess I still don't understand why you've 'bought and sold' so many H2s? It sounds like you've probably had your name on the title of half the H2s in NH. LOL. You must spend a lot of time at the DMV getting tag and title work done. :giggling:

And yes he is getting a steal on it. He is actually paying $51k! I am losing $4k at this point... Lund Hummer has the exact same one with 5k miles MORE and they were originally asking $67k, now I think they are down to $62k!! He lives in AZ and was actually gonna buy that one before he saw mine...

Anyway I don't have a deposit on it (he's supposed to be flying in on Monday) so if anyone wants to offer a bit more, you can sell this yourself and make a few bucks...

You know what I love? That a vehicle that got so much backlash - to the point it was no longer produced - is STILL the "status symbol" in Hollywood. How many other 10 yr old vehicles get that kind of respect???

I liked the look of the 3 roof rack bars on your H2 so much that I called my local former Hummer dealer and they had one in stock. I went there today bought and installed it.

Well in a weird way, there still is some backlash. They wanted a vehicle for a Russian mobster, and "bad guy" was their actual wording they used more than once. That association kinda stinks... I have a black 2012 Vette and 2012 Camaro ZL1 and offered both of them for the shot, and the director, prop guy, etc, didn't even give them a thought... I dunno, maybe I am looking into too deep...:notallthere:

lol, you guys are right on the money with this one... The blue one sold yesterday, I had 8 days left on the auction, paid $82 to run it, figured why not try to cash in on the 15 minutes of fame, so I threw it out there, changed the ad to the black one... and yes pdxrealtor, I actually was thinking another sheik too! lol...

So my search for another lower mile black starts again... I really do need help guruerror ... :notallthere:

Well it's a bunch of things... it's actually the wife that likes to clean and detail them. Yes you read that correctly, she enjoys it! :dancingbanana: Unfortunately taht's all she does, she gave up her "other", or should say my "other" enjoyment when we got married. Ahem (clears throat)... I've had 35 years of washing black cars and I really wouldn't be doing it if she wasn't around, but I probably would be getting more of the "other" thing though...:shhh:

And also there's just the 2 of us and 4 cars, a small town, not many miles across town.... so they all get driven very little. Plus keep in mind they are going into storage soon too for the winter... The H2 has 15k miles and the underneath is spotless, I would hate to mess it up... yup garage queens, I hate to use those words...
