Dammit orange my 03 has the dealer installed sma an it is a piece it takes all my body weight to move the damn thing the locking pin copper ring shock absorber is cracked and the damn thin rattles to hell

Crap!! I just bought one from the CL Austin, TX ad linked above. $250 plus $50 shipping

It should be here this week. That's how it goes. I look for a month or 2 for one, then once I put the cash down, 2 show up. :crying:

Nah, I have no use for the stock spare tire and with the added weight of shipping, he gave me the price of $250 for the carrier and license plate cover.

Ok. I may still need a carrier. Not sure yet. This guy on CL wants me to pay with a wire transfer instead of Paypal or a check. I'm kind of getting a red flag on this deal.

I just got scammed by this guy. I just finished filing the police report 10 min ago. Damn it! I'm waiting on the return of my $250 and still no tire carrier. Some people just piss me off!! Grrrrrr.

Anyone have a carrier?? I have a trip out of town & need a way to carry my 37" spare.

No, he did. But kept the $$. He says package has shipped but FedEx has no record of this shipment (I sent him a prepaid label, so I am able to keep track of its whereabouts via my fedex account).

I also Goodled his phone # and all sorts of stuff came up about a Hummer Tire Carrier Scam in Dallas. Several other people lost $400+ from this guy already. But I'm out for blood, I won't drop this. People like this need to be... well, you get the idea.

Now, I need to find a carrier in the meantime before next Friday.

That sucks that the seller ripped you off. He claims he shipped it? or is he not even replying?

Yes and yes. He said he shipped it, but I had already cancelled my FedEx label after I googled his phone # and seen all the others that had been scammed by him.
Now he refuses to answer texts / phone calls / emails. I have a case filed with the local PD, MO Attn'y General, Western Union and will file a report with Dallas PD Internet Crimes Division at lunch time today.

My fault I know for using W/U, but I figured w/ 2 weeks of phone calls & texts he was on the up & up. Lesson learned.

Hey guys, sorry I been outta the state for the past week. Sorry bout what happened in that deal. That sucks. Some people are rediculous. I still have my spare tire carrier off my 05 SUT and the license plate thing laying next to it. I'm not sure what shipping costs would be tho since I'm in Phoenix, AZ. PM me if still interested.
