The factory brushguard does not have tabs for mounting off road driving lights. Where are people mounting lights and what kind of lights are being used?
Thanks in advance for reading and answering. |

custom light bar just under the grill. Also three sets up top on the GOBI rack.
Going to use DELTA lights this time with the upgraded extreme white bulbs. Half the cost of the PIAA's I used on my SUT. |

That looks sweet. I have seen the steel light connections on eBay but the diameter seems to small for the bars. Where did you get them? How difficult is the wirring?

you can purchase light tabs from http://truckaccessoryguy.com

It looks like his sight might have been hacked.

OK. I bough some PIAA's 555 and they are pretty tall. I think 7 inches. Tall enough that they go above the second bar. I think they will work but I was wondering since they are big will they block air into the engine and mess something up?
Also, hummer dude I can't find brackets on that website. Do you have more clues or information for me to search on? Thanks, |
If you want the light tab you have to call 1-866-798-8400. I ordered a set today for about $45 with shipping. I will write more about the product when i get it.

I got some just like the picture above. They are actually nicer then the picture. Custom made just for the H3 bar. I got them for $26.00.
The only gripe I have about them is that the bolt is hard to put a socket over. This is because the rounded side is to close to the bolt. Also, it kind of sticks far out from the bar so big lights look dorky. I would recommended slim profile lights and not over 6.5 inches in diameter. |
Any date on a GOBI rack for the H3 yet??

I got my tabs today. Do I put them on with the clear rubber piece or without? It seems tight with, and too loose without?
P.S. all this talk of rubber, loose, and tight, will easily get alot of you off topic. Thats ok, I understand, just be sure to answer the question before getting too far off topic. Thanks |
http://www.stallioncustoms.com/5tabs.html heres where i got mine
|
Ok, I figured it out. There are more than 1 layer of the clear plastic so you can remove what you don't need. Duh
|
got mine too. i am thinking about drilling though. can't get the best light pattern with the arc that is in the brush guard without putting the lights right next to each other. i am going to sleep on it though.
|
Can't you just turn the lights where you want when you mount them. The guard arc shouldn't matter.
