Cnet is garbage. And your download speed doesn't mean jack diddly ****, it's your upload that's important. 16mb down, 2mb up.
Also just cause your download/upload shows a certain speed doesn't mean that's how fast you can download, it needs to be divided to get a true number. My upload is 2mb and that relates to about 230k a sec upstream. |
1450.4 Kbps
![]() |
21818.2 Kbps - You 21818.2 kbps
So gay, it's retardedly different each time. That's the higest its been. 891 k was the lowest. |
LMAO!
52307.7 Kbps - You 52307.7 kbps This is crackin me up. I would love to know how they come up with this stuff. |
1442.7 Kbps at work. Will have to check again at home.
Rox, you really need broadband... ![]() |
141519.6 Kbps - You 141519.6 kbps
Boy I should start my own ISP... Don't mind me, just entertaining myself. What has me baffled is I have my connection stretched to the max right now and it keeps getting higher. |
I just got 141519.7 Kbps
|
You corporate BW leeches can all shut yer bragging yaps now.

It's probably because your computer cached the information...I hit 31000....but both times I did it properly, it came out around 1440kbs
|
1.1mbs on drty's second link...both tries...

Easiest way to figure out how much bw you have is to divide the number the company says they give you. 4mb = 400k cap, 10mb = 1000k cap, 512k = 50k cap, etc..
Unless you can find a data center very close to you for a test you will likely get numbers all over the board. Caching really isn't a concern cause you are sending and receiving packets just to get a generalization of speed. I honestly don't think any of them are ever very accurate. Best way is to do the math yourself. |
4.9 megabits per second.

this one says I'm at 6.3Mbps they're all wacked. I am paying for a 5Mbps feed but that's download the upload is usually capped to something below T1 speeds or 1.5Mbps |
