Any of you guys tried a chrome spray yourself on any of the plastic H3 parts like that hood grill? cons, pros? I'm not experienced in those kinds of things just wondering whether to experiment or not... how does plastic hold the chrome paint?

Sewie 03-24-2006 01:01 AM

Don't forget the trowel/hood handles.

Spacetop 03-24-2006 02:06 AM

Still don't understand what the hood handles are all about... are you ever going to have someone riding on your hood? Like circus midgets??

deicustoms1 03-24-2006 02:13 AM

Give it some time, that's a regular activity for most of us.

Rent a midget

Steve - SanJose 03-24-2006 04:46 AM

The lame fake hood vent on the H3 looks more like a hibatchi grill especially with the hood handles. Maybe an electric grilling option should be availabe for tailgating/picnics.

If you are going to use a spray on anything you may get better results from spray on mud.

Maybe I should send that suggestion over to the GM accessory group.

Great I always prefer functional things. In this case it can be a function hood vent or an electric grill.

Looks like the H1 and H2.

Don't paint the stock softer plastic pieces. They'll bend and cause cracking. Not to mention the paint really won't adhere properly and start to peal.

That's fine, but they're not Rattle Canned Chrome.
