Great Trail Guide

Boss Hoss 09-13-2005 02:13 AM

Shes a cute pup...you just gotta love a good dog.

Heres my CoPilot:

Unlike DRTY's copilot, mine does bitch about random nonsense issues and ask to pull over to use the bathroom every 60miles

KenP 09-13-2005 02:57 AM

That's cool VT. He steered you straight to the only rock in the area.

Dirty, nice pic.

Fubar, gotta love your job.

LMAO!

Yeah - it is a flood control damn in the area...and they put out all these pansy rocks to keep cars from going anywhere they want.

That place get up to 20' under water at times!

Txsut,
your welcome.

KenP- which job? Who you been talking to? How'd you find out? Who I got to kill? just kidding. Yes I love my job

Here are my trail guides. Zach on the left, Jake on the right. And yes Zach was bored while I was tying to take this shot (thus the eyes shut)

VTSTOMPER 09-13-2005 12:46 PM

Nice Fubar00!

That is a great pic! I bet my girl with love hanging out with your labs!

Fubar 09-13-2005 12:51 PM

thanks they're great dogs. Neither has been bounced around in the truck while off road, yet... I decided last minute not to take them on last years trip to Moab but they were ready to go..

Boss Hoss 09-13-2005 01:40 PM

Fubar....thats a great shot. We currently have my father in laws lab in our house(they evacuated out of St. Bernard Parish) and they are great dogs....my father in law's dog is a duck hunter. Its amazing at what good training will do for a dog.

Speaking of bouncing around...
My bulldog is now 10months old, but a couple of months ago that little bastard jumped out of my window while i was doing about 30mph. He was ok but it sure made my heart drop as i watched him tumble through my rear view mirrow.

Fubar 09-13-2005 01:56 PM

good to here your pup was ok after his "Air Dog" stunt.

Did your father-inlaw and his famiily lose everything or suffer a lot of damage? Good to hear that they evacuated to safety, material things can always be replaced, well most things. I know memories contained in photo albums and other sentimental things will never be replaced.

HOLY CRAP BOSS!!! Glad he was okay! I nearly shat my pants everytime one of my pups accidentally steps on one of the rear window buttons (need to remember to lock them)...I can't imagine how you felt!

My trail dog...back seat driver

Boss Hoss 09-13-2005 04:50 PM

They are assuming they lost everything. There was not a house in St. Bernard Parish taht did not have water in it...according to the press conference that was held yesterday, their subidivision had 8-10ft of water. They warned everybody to keep their hopes low. They talk in specifics of the losses and it is really unbeleivable. Sounds almost like the entire parish(known as counties outside of Louisiana) will have to be bulldozed and start from scratch.

TX...I have been called an overprotective owner so as you can imagine i was rather shook up. Heres how it when down; I pull out of my neighborhood get up to about 25-30mph, i look back and Hoss(my bulldog) has rolled down the window and has all four feet on the ledge of the door panel and it is teeter tottering as to if he is goign to go out the window or fall on his butt back in....i slow down as much as i can without completely throwing him off balance, he jumps, i slam on my brakes while pulling over and watchign him tumble. Before i can get out he is already on his feet just standing there like nothing happened. Fortunatley my house is really close to the beach so he landed in sand.

-sorry for the novel-

KenP 09-13-2005 05:08 PM

Fubar, I'll be in touch when I'm out that way.

Hoss, Glad the pooch is ok and your family is safe.
