Rocky Road Outfitters Rocker Protection

If anyone of you guys have seen these in person could they be used as a step also? From the pictures on thier site it looks like it would be, but I want to know for sure before I drop the cash.

Thanks
Tanner

Absolutely Tanner, once I told my partner to use as a step, he did and has since. He is appreciative since I removed the chrome steps a while ago to put on the "decorative" Manik piece of $hit rock rails. They also allow you to stand on to access the roof rack too.

I just got this from Glenn Wakefield at Rocky Road:

It is 25% off for purchases of 5 kits or more shipped to the same address.

Nice discount but what if they are shipped to multiple addresses?

Maybe someone close could pick them up and ship to everyone.

No discount if shipped to multiple addresses. He said the shipping is where they save money on group orders.

I find that hard to believe but oh well. Maybe they just have a lot of markup in the shipping.

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters Rocker Protection

Shipping for items this heavy is pretty hefty. I have shipped out items that weight as much, and unless you go with something like FedEx ground (Green), the price sounds about right.
Rocky Road would charge me $46.78 from their location to my house. If I shipped a 73 lb package from my zip code to a zip code in Salt Lake City (not sure of their exact location), and I estimated the package size as 10x4x2, the price would be $64.43. So, their shipping price is not inflated.
It would also cost more to transport to one location and then that person split it up and ship than we might save.

Only alternative I can see is if there were five in the same general area who were interested, and the other four could pick up.

Halfway down they have a set for the H3 on the right side.
Further down, they have a drop down box with prices. H3 is at the top.
Price is $360.00 plus shipping.
