How do the products from Manik compare to OEM? In particular the rocker bars, you can find them for about $200 on line compared to $500 for OEM. Anyone have a set or rocker bars from Manik? They also make a prerunner bumper for the H3 that looks nice, does anyone have commits on either of these products?

no comparision from what I have seen, GM's are better built.

Don't know about OEM, but I just put Manik side steps on last night. When I received them, however, both rear step plates were cracked/chipped. May have happened in shipping, but I just called Manik up since they have a 5 year warranty and they agreed to just send me new ones. Hopefully, this won't happen again.

Here is a picture of mine with the oem rails and the oem removable steps. You take off the steps when you offroad. I ordered them after I took delivery of the H3 and put them on myself. The frame is already tapped for the 8 bolts that hold each on on. Also they weigh about 45-50lbs apiece, so they are pretty thich tubing.

Thanks for the responses and keep them coming. HIHUMMER how was the welds and finish of the side steps you received?

The OEM are actually two bars I think the Manik are one. The OEM are very nice and sturdy.

2 weeks ago WannabeH3 and I wen't off-roading. I tried to easily roll over this large boulder, BAM!

Down of the rocker panel protection hard. I got and looked and there was nothing. Nothing at all. They did there job and also I love the steps the fit right in.

I saw a set of the manik bars this past weekend. They looked good form the side but when you got onder and look at how they were build it is very bad. Only one bar and some shoty welds on the brackets. I don't think they would do much in the way of protection, but if you just want some crome down there then go for it. I think I will save up for the OEM ones.
