I understand the reverse lights use a 3157 bulb. Anyone use the Nokya hyper white bulb or LED type bulb? Do any of these make a difference?

Yes, I have used a hyper white bulb for the reverse lamp. It does help some. I also discovered if you bend over one of the wires on the bulb base, it will cause both fillaments to illuminate and give you an extra 8 watts.
The LED bulbs do not work well because of the reflective properties of the light housing.

hello

I did installed the white LED bulbs on mine, the ones that I got have additional leds on the side of which helps a little. They dont really light at night but they look very nice. Specialy when you have the HID on the front. I also added the yellow led bulbs on the front side markers.

Hey Laredo -
Do your front markers flash okay when you use your turn signals? There was a warning on that website regarding use of LEDs on GM vehicles.

Was the warning for all bulbs, or just those used for DRL replacements?
Most of those composite LED bulbs sold on the Internet, have built in resistance to match the resistance of the replaced incandescent bulb. Therefore, the flash rate is about the same.
However, for some reason, it is noted on some sites, and by some of my Corvette buddies that for some reason, LEDs in the front DRL locations, burn out rather quickly.
I personally cannot understand this since LEDs emit so little heat versus incandescent. Must of something to do with the LED not being robust enough to last.

The warning was for DRL replacements.

the ones I replace where the side markers 194 bulb side, not the actual turn signal bulbs. I do know what you are talking about but on the above mention site they also have for sell the load resistance units, in order for the signal bulbs to blink at the normal speed. I got them for my other vehicle and they work great.
