will this work with the SMA brush gaurd?

nmikes 04-06-2006 07:07 PM

sweet! How noticable is the extra weight that far forward, and do you have a remote hardwired to your dash?

X Racer 04-06-2006 07:18 PM

Yes. It will work with OEM & SMA Brushguards. Also can be installed without brushguard.

Really I have no notice on extra weight with or without the winch mount in diving conditions.

The winch mount weights approx 35 Pounds.

I donŽt have a remote installed.

Thanks Sewie, couldn't remember the title to that thread.

any idea on the price?

also, is it a standard bolt pattern?

rkcrawl 04-26-2006 10:44 AM

It has a Warn winch bolted to it, so I'd say yes on the standard bolt pattern. Only thing I'd like to see if the winch sitting up a little higher. Its very exposed sitting that low. Actually, I'd like to come up with a mount that is about that high with the winch mounted BEHIND the bumper fascia.

Synthetic winch rope would help offset some of the weight vs steel cable, as well increase safety in a cable breakage situation.
