Jet Chip Install???
To anyone who has actually installed, did you take the whole computer out like instructions state, or just undo the middle harness with the computer in place and install chip????
Thanks |
Re: Jet Chip Install???
I took the whole computer out as the module was quite stiff to push in, however, the chip upgrade did not work for me and I have it sat on my office floor collecting dust. My H3 sounded like a tractor and it lost all it's power, so I'm intrested to know if you got yours and if it worked.

Re: Jet Chip Install???
No problems, idles as usual. Have not ran a tank of gas through it yet to check mileage, but it does not feel as sluggish. Wanted it mainly for pulling my motorcycle trailer. Just a little extra HP to help out. Seems to have done what I wanted.

Re: Jet Chip Install???
Ok thanks, I had a replacement chip sent by Jet and still had the same problem, I'm wondering if there is any diffrence on my H3 that was built in SA, I'd be suprised if the engin managment was diffrent but it seems I have brought a white elaphant :-(((
Any one want to buy a chip at a bargin price let me know, I have a stage 2 chip going cheep :-(( |
Re: Jet Chip Install???
Why a Stage 2? You should probably be using a Stage 1. Even if you added headers and a CAI you woudn't need a Stage 2. Maybe they'd swap it out for you. Ed
