Re: Commander=Owned
****. Did the occupants survive?
|
Re: Commander=Owned
Wow that is an awful wreck!
I wonder how fast they were going |
Re: Commander=Owned
Well. Now we know that the Commander is not light pole rated.
|
Re: Commander=Owned
Sad. Hemi-powered right into the pole.

The driver (only occupant) died according to the story with the photo. :( |
Re: Commander=Owned
I'm not suprised. The entire vehicle folded around the pole, right at the passenger compartment. Looks like any open space inside the vehicle at that area collapsed.

Re: Commander=Owned
my sorrows for the victims family. And that was a horrible wreck any idea on the speed of the vehicle and how it woulded up sideways on the poll??? And why does the glass on the drivers door just look bent???

Re: Commander=Owned
I think this is the problem, cars that people think are safe trucks. from the jeep forum....
the commander is frameless so it would probably bend in this direction easier than most vehicles but Jeep probably never thought of an impact like this. i agree it still should have held up better but with no frame and the weakened roof structure then this could be a possibility. this was probably the 1 in a million that jeep thought would never happen. hope i never have this problem. |
Re: Commander=Owned
Yea but that pole had structural integrity.

OMG, taken out by another jeep......:giggling:
|
Re: Commander=Owned
Almost as bad as headon crash of 2 motorcycles at high speed...
|
Re: Commander=Owned
Damn improper left turns:twak:
|
Re: Commander=Owned
At high speed any vehicle no matter how storng would bend like that....I guarantee he was going way faster than he should have with damage like that.... :OWNED:

Re: Commander=Owned
commander shares the underpinning of the cherokee, weak and yea, not much could have saved him hitting that

Re: Commander=Owned
I guess thats what happens when you drive a commander like an ass. Still really sad that a person died because of poor choices they made. This is why I would never buy a suv like a cayenne turbo or a cherokee srt8. Trouble happens a lot faster in an suv at high speeds than it will in a car.
