I know air will stay in the bags when the truck is off and that it does not discharge it.

Again, no problems, ever, with mine being lifted. Of course, I could just be lucky...

How would lifting it void the warranty? That does not make any sense to me.

Lift Kit wouldn't void transfer case warranty in itself, but the 38 15.5 tires due increase the resistance. However, they are fixing everything without any problem !!!

I'm sure the air bags run when the car is on and the doors shut.

Actually air bags will stay on after the truck is off to keep it level(if there is a slow leak). And the issue on a lift is that while the truck is raised the height sensor sees the truck being at max height so it releases the air from the bags trying to lower the ride height. So when you let the truck all the way down off the lift, with no air in the bags, there is always the possibility of damaging the air bags.

P.S. pinched brake line when air bags went. Had to overnight new brake line. Maybe today I'll get my truck back.

Dan, our truck rearends weigh so much and the only thing holding them up are the shocks.

So u have to restrain them or I wouldn't want to be under one it it dropped.

I believe some kind of mechanic error.

Update Week 3

After replacing the brake line, there was an air bag leak that took all day to fix. Somehow the brake line got bent again and a new one is being sent over night.(Told them to order 2 brake lines this time)

Maybe I'll see the truck again before it fully depreciates!!

You have to be making all of this up. There is no way this could really be happening.

That dealership better offer you something after all of this.

drmiles 08-25-2004 03:08 AM

Honest, its all true. Also the brake line didn't come today. Maybe it will shows up tomorrow. SM said its ready to go when the brake line show up..

frustrated !!!

I am not really sure what your point is here?

Got my truck back today!! WEEEEEE

However, my front drive shaft is in my back seat. Seems that when the ST removed the front drive shaft a bolt broke in the front yolk. Due to a misunderstanding between the ST & SM, the ST thought it was an aftermarket yolk and refused to replace it. NOt telling me anything until this AM when they called and said your truck is ready!!!

I think after some strong words today we have that problem solved and a new yolk is being ordered.

Had to post this, I can't believe it when I read it myself.

H2Finally 08-26-2004 04:31 AM

dr, I would drive 100 miles NOT to EVER go to that dealership again. Won't surprise me one bit if they'll call & said, "oops, very sorry, but the battery short-circuited and your H2 was burned to the ground" -- one of these days...
