I retract my statement. Go with hot pink.

pretty big SOB isn't it? I really like it, drives and rides as good as the H3. It's actually bigger than a Grand Cherokee. We had one parked to a Grand and it is just ...... bigger.

The front fenders have to go, as does the front and rear bumpers. The fenders are just too wide at the front and look goofy. Some aftermarket bumpers, fenders, lift, etc. and it's a pretty cool ride.

I haven't seen the green in person but the black is Ok. My biggest "complaint" is the stupid door looks in the interior. They are huge and just goofy looking.

Re: I want this color, she wants black.....

the interior in the rear reminds me of the Honda Element. That I dont like. I really like the interior up front, they did a good job with that. And the "rescue green" color is kick ass:perfect10s:

The other cool thing is that you can do a simple budget boost to fit 35's and a four inch lift will fit 37's. They already have them developed and are selling them.

I dont mind the fenders that much but I'm also envisioning larger tires on the jeep. They look oversized with the stock 32's but I dont think they will with larger tires. And the bumpers, well..........aftermarket will catch up and until then just chop them up a little:D

Looking good, moon. Have to say I don't like the acid green as much as the other colors. Black is fine, but red and blue kick ass, imo. I love the hardtop on those rigs - removable or configurable as you like it.

So are you just checking them out or thinking about buying one for real?

Question for you, I read that the JK has CV driveshafts ... is that true? What are the (dis?)advantages of that setup over u-joints?

BlueTJCO 09-21-2006 10:47 PM

Re: I want this color, she wants black.....

CV joint assembly is simply better and more efficient at reducing or eliminating driveshaft vibration. Even at smaller angles, and even with correct matched-angle geometry, the single-cardan shaft is still susceptible to vibration. The CV shaft will always run smoother, quieter, and with less stress on the u-joints, and transfer case and pinion shafts, bearings, and seals.

Yes seriously thinking about buying a 4 door for my next vehicle. TJ is paid off and I really like it. So does my better half which is a huge plus, but she wants it in BLACK:rant:

I am thinking about waiting a year. I've read and heard rumors that a domestic diesel engine will be available before long........ ...... and now the TJ is simply a project so I could throw some money into it.

NO QUESTION - That green color is the BEST. I love that color.

Those tires in that pic are 32s? Man, the look smaller than that.

37s on the rig would be sweet!

Weird, I just saw this link on another board.

I don't really like how the 4-door looks stock, but lifted, it looks pretty kickass.

The 37s make it look a lot more like the Jeep Rescue concept. Very nice :)
