There is a guy at http://www.ayarinc.com that will cut a great deal on the seats for you. Any color and leather type. He was VERY accomodating
|
I also just installed the Katzkin leather seat/ DVD entertainment package in my H3. Bought them from Harrison at http://www.ayarinc.com.
He is an AWESOME guy to deal with and provides excellent service even after the sale! Will post pics up soon of my install. |
Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats
Did you install these yourself or have it done ?

Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats
I guess you haul a lot of hookers in your Hummer? :jump::jump::jump::jump:

Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats
I chose a more sedate palette when I went with my Katzkins (second set I've owned). Very happy with the end result.
I too have have the factory original Ebony cloth covers available. Less than 500 miles of ass time. Anyone have an idea what they are worth? (I haven't researched it yet) |
Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats
How does it work. You order and install yourself?

Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats

Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats
I had a dealer's interior guy install mine. However, with some time, patience
and the proper tools you CAN do it yourself. There was actually an old episode of TRUCKS on spike TV that gave you the complete rundown on how to install a set of Katzskins in an Explorer. If you decide to install the kit yourself, it requires removing the seats completely from the vehicle and disassembling them on a bench in order to remove the original upholstery. Then reassembly of the new upholstery to the seat cushions. The installation in most cases may also require specialty tools such as hog ring pliers, hog rings and spray adhesive. |

Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats
Both car's seats look great!
The Two-tone leather really makes it. Much nicer than the factory single color. What was the cost for the leather? Then... What was the cost forthe install? My cloth fronts are beginning to show some wear, and I am considering new seats. Actually, I was considering two entirely new front seats. But after this post, maybe just new upholstery. |
Re: Hummer H3 Leather Seats
Mine were $1100 installed. (price negotiated at time of vehicle purchase)
I wanted that Rawlings leather for the center inserts so bad I could taste it, but they wouldn't do it. Said Rawlings licensed for the entire kit only and they couldnt split it up. This is my second set and compared to the factory leather....Much better. They just seem to get better as they age, but without the deep wrinkles and cracks. No piping to rip off sliding in and out of the truck. Just my opinion. |
