Help on Navigation radio installation

Hope it?s a right place to ask this. Well, I am just looking to buy a H2 Navigation radio from one of my friends to install in my bro's 08 H3. Wondering how much tough this gonna be to perform this task. Does anyone have experience with the same installation?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks..

Re: Help on Navigation radio installation

Did a few searches here and saw nothing. You could post it on the h2 tech board and see if anyone there has done the swap.
Call your dealership service dept and see if they are compatible. Logic would say they would be portable from one to another. However there may be a pin out swap or something in the wire harness that is off.
The answer is out there. Good luck:D

Re: Help on Navigation radio installation

Two things:

1) I don't think it's possible since the radio will be locked when you put it into another vehicle. The methods for unlocking an H2 radio and an H3 radio are totally different and I don't think it will work.

2) Get an H3 nav radio. With the H2 radio you can't listen to a cd and have the nav working since there is only one cd slot. On the H3 radio there are two seperate slots for a cd and a dvd nav disc.
