Dynatech Headers

Thought I would roll under my truck and snap a pick of my recently installed Dynatech longtubes and the high flow cats. Ceramic coats done were Nitride coatings.

NICE!! :perfect10s:

I just ordered the Dynatechs and took delivery a few days ago. Paid $679.00 w/free delivery for Headers alone.
AutoAnything told me it would bolt up to my OEM Cats. Took it in for installation today but no dice ... I need the HF Cats and X Pipe $500.00 more!!

Eye candy for sure....

Re: Dynatech Headers

You will want the high flow cats anyways, all that extra exhaust coming down needs a quicker way out. You wouldn't get the full effect of them without the HF's. Excited to see what you guys think when you get them, hopefully you will like!

How about a wheel well picture? :D

Re: Dynatech Headers

HP is Dyno'd on Dynatech's site at 25 HP for the stock setup, so I imagine that having a CAI and chip would only add to that number overall. Oh yeah, here is a wheel well pic- couldn't see too much too well which is why I didn't post it with the others...

Oh man, what little I can see I like. Makes me want to get mine done. Do you know if you needed o2 extenders?

I see you have a super chip cortex. Is that for headers cai etc..?

I'm assuming this pic is during the install as the egr isn't hooked up or plugged.

Re: Dynatech Headers

I've had the headers and high-flow cats installed for several years. Very good product.

Re: Dynatech Headers

Yah, so the cortex was something I got after the bigger tires. It helped, but the regear is what really picked thigns up. The chip just helps things run a little sharper, figured opening up the intake and exhaust would help.

On the O2's, I just got the high flow cats from Dynatech which came with the extenders. I am pretty sure you need them so that the O2's can still reach. Also, no on the EGR, don't have it hooked up in this pic; speaking of which, I didn't know the H2 had an EGR.... Does it even have one?

Re: Dynatech Headers

My buddy swears it has an EGR but says it just doesn't run through the header, but through the back or front of the head.

You've been running yours without a plug On the header???

Re: Dynatech Headers

Yah, I have... haven't really notcied anything weird about how it runs either. I will have to see of I can get something to plug it, see if it makes a difference. I will talk to my mech and see what he says about it, they do quite a bit of performance stuff like exhaust and supercharge, so he should know what's up. I may even call Dynatech and ask them too; got me all thinking about it now.

Re: Dynatech Headers

I can't believe you haven't noticed the exhaust leak sound... I'm about to plug mine now.

What did you do with your plug wires on the driver side? I have two plug wires that are up against the header, no way to move them out of the way, and they're burning up.

Do you have a pic of your driver side header?

Did your motor throw any codes?

Re: Dynatech Headers

These headers come with an Allen head plug already installed in the EGR port, instead of a bolt on plate like most other headers, thus the reason it looks like there is not one there. Trust me, it comes installed already. It screws into the hole.

pdxrealtor 08-20-2012 12:58 AM

Re: Dynatech Headers

That makes sense in H2s case, but mine are OBX headers and there is no plug installed or included. The hole isn't even threaded.

I was going to thread it and plug it, but it seemed the wall was too thin. Guess I could have tapped the hole in the flange.

I ended up getting a piece of steel. My kit came with a gasket.
