Switch Location

O.K., I'm in the process of mounting my auxillery lights, but have a question concerning the location of the switch, where's a good place? I was thinking of the face of the overhad console, is this possible?

Any ideasand pics are appreciated!

On mine there was a blank under the rear wiper switch. Mounted it there with no problem.

all my extra lights are connected to my factory high beam switch. It's not illegal in Belgium to have them connected this way.

Re: Switch Location

On my 07 SUT, I put a switch in the console above the rear view mirror. 2 phillips screws hold the console in place. I also removed the grab handle on the A-Pillar (use a very, very thin eyeglass screwdriver to pry the insert in the middle of the grab handle out, and then the grab handle comes off), and took a wire coat hanger and threaded the wires from near the grab handle through the headliner, out to the overhead console. I put a rocker-panel switch in and put it all back together (test it before putting it together, of course!). Looks great, and easy to reach up and flip on or off.

If you need, I can post a picture later for you. Just let me know.

Couldn't resist - here are 2 pics:
1.) This is the rocker switch. Note that is aligned it with the switch that turns on my map light. I am thinking of adding another set of lights, so I wanted to give myself the option to put another rocker switch above the other map light button.
2.) The A-Pillar pop outs. One is on the top, and the other is on the bottom. The little box inserts pull out and then the grab handle comes off, and then you can pull the trim back to run your wires.
