water in the front differential

Anybody know how water can get into the differentials?? I know there are vent hoses on there but not sure if that could do it. Can water get in through the vent hose?? Cant remember going through deep water. I do spray the underneath quite often in the winter. Not sure if that could do it. I took it in because the right front axle seal was leaking for the second time and said it was due to water in the front differential and also said the left was leaking too and also had a bad crank sensor. 800 dollars later i sure wasnt happy!!!:crying:

Re: water in the front differential

Water will get in anywhere under certain conditions...

Your spraying it down with the hose certainly was not the cause.
