Re: Ball Joints!?
I have both upper control arms with very low mileage. $40 plus shipping and you can have them.
I have the Cognito uni-call control arms so I longer need the OEM arms |
Re: Ball Joints!?
Tomp, I may take you up on that offer. I need to be sure that I have a Ball joint problem first. I dont have the truck right now, it's at Rubberduck4x4. I need to just order the cognito's but I $$$ is tight right now. So I was just thinking about thowing a bandaid at it untill spring. Then I will just do Cognito upper control arm stuff.
I am also wondering if you can press out the old ball joints and press new ones in??? |
Re: Ball Joints!?
I went with these http://www.blitzkriegoffroad.com/products.asp?section=frontsuspkits_01_UP_CHEVY_HD_ UCA
and these for the tie-rods http://www.blitzkriegoffroad.com/products.asp?section=front_suspension_components_9 9_06_chevy_tierod_upgrade Cognito and Fabtech parts IMHO just looked weak . |

Re: Ball Joints!?
MR I man ,FYI ,anything with heim joints are not the hot ticket for off road. Fabtech or Cognito tie rod ends are your best bet.:raar:

Re: Ball Joints!?
Thats interesting Ira, since every chase truck and trophy truck uses them in The 1000. To each their own I was just providing some advice to a forum member not entering a pissing contest.

Re: Ball Joints!?
yes and they replace parts every race , if you don't mind short service life heim joints are fine .
