What do ya'll think about this? Did he deserve his fate or was his rights were violated?

he was disruptive and he resisted, plain and simple... I dont see any violation

....still funny though :OWNED:

obzidian 09-21-2007 10:47 PM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

That's exactly how I feel about it. However, the media will and has changed it in implying that his rights were violated... blah blah blah He deserved it. He acted like a snot nosed, "educated" college student....

CollegeSucks 09-21-2007 10:49 PM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

He wasnt doing anything wrong; I'd like to think this disruptive journalism major could have been easily handled by the 4+ guards, rendering the taze unnecessary.

He wasnt being disruptive, he was asking a question to a presidential candidate in an open, public forum.

If this had happened to a student asking Bush a question, heads would be rolling(a lot further than a paid vacation for the cops).

CollegeSucks 09-21-2007 10:49 PM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

but funny... yes

obzidian 09-21-2007 11:04 PM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

Wrong!!

See the tape. Everyone had a time limit. He went over the time limit and when asked to step down, he snot-nosed various responses that were childish at best.

When a police office askes you to do something, even though there have been times were my blood pressure was through the roof, i had to do it.

ITS THE LAW!!!

He failed to obey a direct order from a police officer, when they had him down, he didn't want to handcuffed and well, he got tased for it!!

He deserved it and maybe another for being such a punk kid!

But he could of asked in a calm profesional manner and I'm sure he would have been heard. I think they had enough with him the second the word "blowjob" came out his mouth.

Then he resised. Have you ever tryed to handle someone thats resisting you without injuring them? Hard to do. Thats why it took 4 of them. Sure they could of just decked him but that would be "unprofessional".

So now hes got 4 cops ontop of him trying to get his hands. He still resisting and then he throws in a "f*ck you". So what do you do? Overpower him and posibly break his arm, or, zap him a couple times till he complies.

deserth3 09-21-2007 11:39 PM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

Should have broken his arm.
Some people just don't know when to shut up.

break the law, you get what they hand out....

He brought along his own photo/videographer......you do the math there.

I hear he's selling T-shirts, now lot's of people are.

http://www.roadkilltshirts.com/search.aspx?keyword=taze&page=1&gclid=CIKqn7X81Y4C FRNkYwodvVy4Aw

Make a spectacle, ignore rules that apply to everyone else, resist police, videotape, claim victim status and rights abuse.

CollegeSucks thinks the cops were wrong? Gonna vote for Hillary too?

What kind of world do we want to live in? Cops know that the press will vilify them if they overreact, but at the same time they have the duty to act to uphold the law. They have seconds to plan and react, anything less than perfect is unacceptable. It can be a challenge. The guy was not a little guy and he was actively resisting.

The cops acted to enforce the law. Sorry if it hurt your sensitive feelings. That guy never stopped pushing for what he got, he had many opportunities to comply before he got tased.

CollegeSucks 09-22-2007 04:22 AM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

i didnt realize time limits and invasive questions were the new law.

i also dont know what thinking this was out of line, unprofessional, and inexcusable have to do with my voting(it certainly wont be hillary)

he repeatedly asked to know what LAW he was breaking. None.

My feelings arent hurt. i could care less. ive been through much worse. get over your high-horse, i drive a hummer and am a hardcore republican ideology.

RuggedH2 09-22-2007 04:27 AM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

He was asked to step down, he didn't, he stated that he would ask his question, and then made statements and asked more questions.

Should everyone just do whatever they want, whenever the hell they want to? Rules can apply, just not to you right? High horse?

Failure to comply with the lawful order of a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest.

CollegeSucks 09-22-2007 04:32 AM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

yes. i am immune to the laws of the land. dumb horse?

his conduct was not disorderly, show me a law that says you can't ask your question in a public forum. the police would not tell him what he did wrong.

can the police arrest you, no questions asked? would you not resist arrest if police officers were handcuffing you, pushing you to the ground, with no reason stated?

of course this moron was looking for press, of course he knew what he was getting into, but that doesnt make the taze appropriate.

the rules should apply to the enforcers too.

CollegeSucks 09-22-2007 04:36 AM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

PS. amazing candidate, he didnt even skip a beat... god forbid he answer a difficult question(albeit poorly worded)

RuggedH2 09-22-2007 04:36 AM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

You seem to have the answers I'm sure you could have handled it better.

What would you have done, asked him nicely over and over, and hoped he complied?

Police are charged with enforcing the law, not begging you to comply with it.

there is no law stating you must ask your question within a prescribed time frame. this was a public campus. tough break if he wont be quiet. next time some cock is unruly, i'll taze the mofo.

CollegeSucks 09-22-2007 04:42 AM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

cool definition. thats how the 8th grade valedictorian always opens his ****ty speech. here's a fun quote for you:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Public meeting rules are enforceable by law, disorderly conduct statutes can apply.

Where do you draw the line? Should KKK members be allowed to use public meetings to give 45 minute lectures because they got up to the mike?

You think you are so smart. You know so little about what you are talking about. The first Amendment does not give you the right to impose yourself on everyone around you in a public meeting.

Even that guy knew that, that's why he brought along the video camera. :shhh:

the line has been drawn numerous times. he was in no way inciting hate. he did not hold up FAG signs at dead soldiers funerals, he did not use the N word, he did not salute hitler, he did not burn a flag, he just asked a question.

his first amendment rights were violated.

CollegeSucks 09-22-2007 04:52 AM

damn youre smarter than me. you said so! you can enforce your opinion on me all you want, i'm still convinced you are smarter.

Wrong! The courts routinely allow enforcement at public meetings. PR nightmare for police yes, First amendment No!

If you had it the way you describe, every ultra left or right group in the country could hold any public meeting hostage.

he didnt do anything meriting violence. sure they can stop some racist neo nazi hummer drivers, but the right to disagree with a public servant is the right of all citizens of the way i described it, the United States of America.

OK guys calm down.

My opinion is, yes his time was up. So they escort him out. With 4-6 cops with him or around him, kick him out. Whats the arrest for? Freedom of speech?

If you don't want him there kick him out, but whats the arrest for?

Those cops are gonna get sued for the taze and they'll eat that big time. 1 kid vs 5 cops, that kid wasnt punching or fighting, they'll gonna pay up big time is my guess and they deserve it.

CollegeSucks 09-22-2007 05:38 AM

im calm, my roommate is threatening to "knock the black off my ass". then he giggles and giggles, then is real quiet. I had to put his mattress on the ground so he won't fall out and kill himself.

Did you even watch the video???? He was resisting and struggling with the cops. The little bastard got what he deserved. They tried to escort him out and he fought with them and tried to get away. Should have listened to the cops. He wouldn't have screamed so loud if he hadn't been such an ass.

Dude your crazy, he deserved to be tazered? Why not just shoot him then? I guess he might as well just deseve that.

Freedom of speech is the 1st amendment. If he wasnt welcome with his opinion anymore escort him out. IF you notice the one cop picked him up literally and carried him to the back of the room. Thats enough, take him outside and kick him out. He pays to goto school there. What law did he break? If you want him out of the room take him out. But when 5 cops are on top of you , what in the world do you need to tazer him for? Because he struggled and flopped around with 5 people on top of him? He didnt punch or kick anybody nothing. We might as well just go out and tazer and shoot every person who resists arrest. Imagine 10,000 tazers per day in the US!

Sorry but the US laws arent enfoced by people that say "the little bastard got what he deserved". Just imagine if every cop said that and what they would be doing in the world everyday that goes for for "what people deserve".

We might as well just go out and shoot every person on the streets with drugs thats surely "what they deserve" and ALOT worse than talking at a political meeting right?

GLBLWARMR 09-22-2007 05:55 AM

Re: "Dont Tase me bro!!!!!"

Your damn right we should go and shoot all the little bastards that deserve it. Just like the stupid bitch who wore the fake bomb into Logan airport this morning. She should have had her head shot right off her shoulders. Yep and I believe all child molesters should be castrated with hydrochloric acid or something else just as pleasant.

Back to college boy though. They tried to kick him out and he kept resisting to stay in. He was just a little punk trying to cause trouble and he found it.
He wasn't trying to ask anything important he was just being a dipchit.

I'm calm, and I didn't throw any specific insults either.

I have to ask also, did you watch the video? They tried to escort him out, he wouldn't leave. The arrest is for failure to comply with the lawful order of a police officer, disorderly conduct (3rd time stated) and resisting arrest.

The first cop was female and all were about six inches shorter than him.

The individual officers will be protected by their department policy if they followed it, and it appeared that they did. They did not taser the guy until they could not get his second arm into the cuffs. They did not tase him to "punish" him only to get his compliance. If they had tased him after in cuffs, it would be a different story.

If any lawsuit is filed it will be against the department not the individual cops if they acted within policy.

The university has those police there for these reasons, if they don't stand behind the police, and in court, what cop in his right mind would stop anyone there from ridiculing a U.S. Senator? (although if it's gonna happen, they got the right idiot and coming from a student even further left than him) :giggling:

By the way CollegeSucks it's taser, not tazer. :)

and taser is a trademarked name, like kleenex. so unless you know otherwise, lets call it the stun gun that it is.
