2006 alpha

1 Attachment(s)
Hey folks, Terry Adams from Michigan here. I have two questions i would like to throw out. Do you think there is a decent market to sell a like new 2006 black wagon alpha with 6,000 miles? Never been off road, customized predator full roof rack, piaa lights, interior racks, and garage kept. It was around $140,000 new. If there is a market, how much do you figure a man will have to loose on it? Pic is before rack and lights.
Thanks fellows,
Terry

The market is a little low for H1s. Not as bad as other SUVs because they are so rare. I would go on EBay and search completed listings for Alphas. It will give you something to go on. BTW, that is a great looking truck!!!!

The market is pretty soft on Alpha's. But, it is thriving on 97.5 slantbacks with around 120K on the clock. Because I feel for you I'd trade you straight up. :jump:

The market is pretty soft on them right now. I'd guess it'd sell for around $100K.

100 would prbably be a good price in these times. The fuel and insurance are a little steep and my wife is scared to drive it. That is kinda a good thing but I may have to get something a little smaller she will drive. It has been babied and deserves a good home.

well if you just want someone to take care of it and just give it a good home you can hand it over to me :)

Re: 2006 alpha

Put it up on ebay starting bid of $100,000, buy it now of $120,000, wire in account only, and place lots of pictures online and you should sell it relatively quickly.

A friend sold an Alpha soft top for 115,000$ in 2 days on ebay, a wagon just sold on ebay for 120k for export to japan.

Market isn't that soft for Alpha's if you know what you are doing.

Alpha's a different market then old used H1's. Guys like me can't afford 100G for a nice shiny Alpha with warranty so we fight over the cheaper trucks, but the Alpha still commands a decent amount of money to those who want it.

The only "cheap" alpha I see is one going for 80k now, and that one has been in an accident.

Any H1 in clean shape, that hasn't been abused and has service history will still command a premium.

Terry, you will regret the sale. Obviously its not about money so hold it. Here is my philosphy. Once the Hummer Brand Sells to a foriegn country (we know it will) the american made Hummers will be more collectable than ever. I sold my 95 & 2001 H1 and regretted every day since. Just hold it for a few more months. It will pay off.

Terry,

Where in michigan are you? We have a small group of H1 owners here active in ownership in SE MIchigan.... if there is even a chance that your wife might like the truck, you have to take her off-road, perhaps without her knowing.... this happened to a woman in WI whom was told was going on "vacation" in their H2... She never took the H2 outside if it was raining she babied it so much.... Well... they went to the Drummond Island event..... She loved it so much she is now coming to the AM General event later this month...

Feel free to contact me if you have the desire to keep the truck....

hey man, just checked back in. I'm in the Troy area of MI. I've heard that there is a group that goes up north to the military test grounds. Hopefully I can get her up there. Thanks for input. Fuel has come down a bit up here now so that helps too.
